Watch out for those rental cars; They will Run you OVER
You never know what I am going to blog about. Usually, or 50% of the time I mention weight loss, but for the most part I tell what is on my mind. I have to tell you about a rental car ripoff!!! I bought a 2006 Toyota Tundra in November. It's been having a teeny weeny problem lately. The alarm system goes off sporadically; like at 3 am!!!! So I took it in to have it removed. I had to rent a car. I work construction and I have to go check on all the different jobs, so transportation is important. Anyhway. I had Enterprise come to the dealer and they said they would give me the dealership rate of $25 a day. Great, took the "little" Dodge Neon and was on my way. I brought it back in 6 hours with more gas than I started with. To my surprise, there was a 53.89 charge against my check card. I remembered the $25 deposit that he said that I would have to pay. So, it was cool. 3 days after I turned the car in, the charge was still there. I had to call 3 times to get the $25 deposit returned to me. If I hadn't been a thrifty consumer who watches the daily report on my bank account, I probably wouldn't have noticed; nor got the refund. The moral of this story, is to check every charge that goes against your account. My husband once had an extra $20 tip added to a check card slip where we had eaten together at Hooters. I was there and I KNOW we didn't leave a $20 tip for a waitress. If he was by himself or with the guys, it could have been possible! (HaHa) Food Update- I have been maintaining my weight. I have not really focused that much ; my concentration has been applied toward getting my apartment cleaned out and moving back to my home in Perry, so I can start my new job there on the 16th. ALSO GRADUATION is this Saturday in North Carolina. SO I have too much to worry about right now. Have a great week; talk to you all later.
