I have a new job!! If you guys remember last week I said that I was dealing with something in my personal life and I wanted to ask you to keep me in your thoughts. Well the decision has been made. I have decided to leave my current employer of 3 years. Here's the story to get you up to date. I lived in the Carolinas for the last 20 years. Last Spring my husband accepted a promotion at his company to come and work in Florida. I told my employer that I was going to have to resign unless there was something in Florida that I could do. They told me about a project in Jacksonville. I came here, rented an apartment. It is 2.5 hours from where my husband is. I have lived in this apartment Monday through Thursday for the past year and only going home on the weekends. I STILL have unpacking to do. Can you believe that? Anyway, I have started missing him real bad, and I want a career change. So I applied for a position with the county and I got it. I gave my notice here at the apartment and I am moving. I know this is going to be a scary financial move, but I have to do it, hoping that the future will produce results for me. Wish me luck. Oh yeah- I need to get home and get focused on this weightloss thing!!!!

Congrats!
Awesome! I hope it all works out for you! New jobs are a nice change of pace sometimes...
Thanks for the nice comments on my blog! I'm very jealous that you have a Cornish Rex; I've been wanting one forever but DH has his heart set on a Maine Coon. We only have shelter kitties at the moment, but I love them. :)
Congrats on the new job! Everythings always works out for the best. I really enjoy reading your blogs, so NO they are not boring. Keep up the good work and don't be a stranger: D
Hey that is great. It will be so much better for you to be with your hubby. I don't think I would want to do that. Good luck. Post when you can. Hugs, Starbright
Hey cogratulations on the new job!!! That is so exciting for you! Oh my gosh, I'm sorry to hear that your job situation kept you away from your husband so much. So this means you will get to live with him the whole time? Good for you!
I wanted to say thank you for posting to my blog and I got to reading yours. You seem like such a sweet person and very much liked here on Extrapounds. I am sorry to have read about your mom. I hope you find peace in knowing she is no longer suffering. As for the job change...Good For You!!! That is soooo wonderful and I am sure you needed the good news. Sounds as though you have been going through all kinds of emotions. I am sure the future will work out just fine for you. Please keep me posted on how things are going, the move, new job all that fun stuff. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Have fun with all the changes!
OMG!!! You have got to go to The Cheesecake Factory. Heathsgirl, it is the most delicious place. They have every kind of cheesecake under the sun and it is so light and fluffy, it literally just melts in your mouth. Can you tell how much I love it. They have them in Florida so it shouldn't be hard to find one. As far as the meals go, they are just as delicious. They have chicken, pasta, burgers, steak, anything you could want. You might want to split whatever meal you get because the portions are HUGE! Even before dieting I could not finish my meal there. Now I just automatically have them pack up about 3/4 of my food so that I have room for the cheescake. The cheesecake is big enough that you could share a slice, but...who wants to share their cheesecake. Not me!!! It will cost you about $50.00 or $60.00 to eat there with your husband. That would be for 2 meals, 2 sodas, and 2 yummy cheesecake slices and possibly tip. Depends on what you eat. The atmosphere there is really nice and relaxing and it looks like a place you might need to be dressed up at, but you don't. Not at all, many people go in shorts and whatever. Geesh, talking about all this makes me seriously want some cheescake. Ughhh, some days I really hate dieting! Let me know what you think if you go! Bye
