Workout One
I was worried that my first day at the gym would be disastrous.
Clearly the only thing disastrous about today was the weather. But the workout itself was fine. Going to focus on cardio for the first few weeks, and then gradually add in weights. I was glad I was able to stay within the right heart rate range on the machine I used for the right length of time today.
Tomorrow I'll be back for an equally long work out, but hopefully without having to walk through the hurricane to get there.

New NYSC member
I just joined a gym today! I plan to head there tomorrow for my first workout in three years. I used to work out at the NYSC in Hoboken, when I lived in Jersey City. Now I'm going to work out at the Newark gym. For those who want to join me, there is a day-rate of $15 to join me for a workout. Feel free to ask me - working out together would be cool for me.

Getting Started
Today was the weigh-in for the Tau Delta Phi Weight Loss competition. And while I am confident about my ability to lose the weight I have posted as my goal, I am not as excited about the starting weight I saw on the scale today.
But of course, that might be because I had 2 dinners to attend tonight for work - eaten on purpose tonight because I knew I had to do this weigh-in. Hopefully I can get started on the first part of the weight loss plan - reducing calories in all meals and trying to eat better foods.
Starting tomorrow, I plan to join a gym and get in a couple of workout hours. Might as well jump in with both feet!
