Work is insane
I have been working so much lately that my poor dog is being walked by my vet's service and she is sooo not happy about it either. I have been working 10 and 12 hour days. DD is on a school trip to DC until Friday. Her dad is chaperoning as I did the last three trips. I was down 2.5 pounds this week and I am trying to figure out how. I have been eating on the go and no excercise but I have been trying to be really careful about what I am eating so maybe I am finally getting the knack who knows.....
But yay for being down 13 pounds in 10 weeks with WW. One of my initial goals was to make 25 pounds down by September and I definitely think I should be able to do that. It seems very reasonable. Went to the grocery store and avoided all the no-no snakc items that are not the best diet choices. Now off to do laundry and pay the bills - being a grownuo really isn't fun.

Happy Mother's Day and Two Weeks on Plan
I must admit that there hasn't been much excercise so I have to focus on that this week. Being busy isn't really an excuse but anyway - I am so going to focus on excercise this week. Since really being on WW for two months since March 11, I have managed to drop eight pounds and I am hoping to be down to 13 by June 11 (which would be 5 percent and put me at 238 which is what I weighed at my last physical in November). I would also like to see 25 pounds off by September which I think is completely realistic if I stay on plan and that's only losing a pound a week which is what my doctor and I think is healthy for me.
I just finished cleaning the kitchen after the Mommy's Day breakfast my DD made me - then I went to get mani/pedi and it was divine. I am so super relaxed. I am kinda dreading the next 6 - 8 weeks at work. Some one I have to back up is out for major surgery so I have just had my workload doubled essentially and did I mention that I am not getting any extra support to do this work other than get it done miss. Sigh - oh well just another reason to look for a new job down south :)
On a happy happy note yay me two weeks straight on plan my goal is 21 days so seven more days and then I can eat chocolate cake just kidding but I did make some homemade raspberry sorbet twas so yummy

Day 9 and TOM
Not much to report because I am so tired that I can't see straight and my DD has become obsessed with Swine Flu reports. We don't know anyone that has it and her private school is still in session but she thinks that all of the swine flu cases nationwide are reason for her to stay out of school...ummm not so much.
Went to WW and lost .3 now normally I would not be excited about losing .3 but its a TOM week which is completely awesome I am always up during this period and I have resisted the lure of the demon wheat thins so yay me.

Day 8
Let's see, today was a pretty good day which meant that I was way, way under my points mainly due to an upset tummy this morning. I always take meds on an empty tummy and it always messes me up for the rest of the day.
I am trying to get an estimate to get the back two acres of my house/lot landscaped. The house was originally a farm house with a barn and 5 acres but the land around the barn and the house is landscaped. My realtor says one negative is the scrub brush and piney forest (saplings and bushes) near the back of the lot. We are leaving the trees but ripping out the scrub and weeds and planting new grass (or at least I want to). So, I need to see how much that is going to cost.
My big focus this year is to get projects done. I am working on the basement and next weekend the floors are being refinished. I am determined to move back to NC within the next two years, but first the mauselum needs lots of work, My house is way too big for two people.
Back to diet stuff - no workouts due to TOM and some water but for a TOM week I am not indulging snacking err bad snacks that is even though I practically had to sit on my hands. People at work just want to feed me all the time, but I am getting so much better at learning to say no, thank you.

Day 7
Apart from TOM trauma today was pretty good. Stayed on plan and painted the basement which has been in dire need of some rehab. Its on the project list of things to do to before the mauseleum er house can be sold. DD was with her dad this weekend and I kind of relaxed yesterday and cooked today. Have to do some shopping after work tomorrow. I had turkey chilli with a sweet potato (baked) and blackberries for desert.

Days 4 -6
So I skipped a few days in blogging but I am very happy to report that I have stayed OP all week with only a minor mistep that involved an extra serving of whole grain wheat thins and I did five workouts this weeks. So all in all I think I had a really good six days so far.
I have decided to try to come up with goals for the month of May.
1. 16 workouts: which is only four a week and I think this is totally doable
2. attend three WW meetings which should be acheivable
3. lose one inch
4. stay on plan at least 5 days a week with weekends being flexible
5. water, water aim for 32 ounces a day
I think these monthly goals are achievable for me and will help keep me on the healthy and happy road:)

Day 2 and 3
I have been doing really well the past two days. Ate totally on plan....so that is just awesome.
Worked out for thirty minutes yday and today
Water: 32 or so ounces of water both days
Snacking: Ate my snacks and logged all of my food and most importantly avoided junk and fast food
Points: Ate all my points and didn't go over
Starting my weight training program and gradually increasing my cardio in the hopes of getting to an hour by the end of May. They say it takes 21 days to become habit and ditch the cravings I guess this means that I only have 18 more days to go:)
DD made the "high school" JV cheerleading squad (8th and 9th graders)...she is so excited:) I am taking a swing dance class this weekend it should be fun and a good workout.

Day 1 all over again
I got up super early and did thirty minutes of cardio, which is awesome because I am definitely not a morning person. The weather was so amazing here in NYC it was hard to justify not getting my behind in gear. Took the dog for a walk also.
So day number one went really well...logged all my points and my fave snacks blackberries, strawberries and FF kettle korn were on sale yay
Water: so - so only 20 ounces
Excercise: 30 minutes definitely a yay day
Food: logged all my meals; had lots of rabbit food, protein and good carbs came in one point over so that's a yay too
Diet sodas: kind of need to cut back on these so we'll see how it goes
Focus for tomorrow: water and making sure I get an hour of cardio in

Had a slightly off day
I went out with some friends last night and stayed out super late. Got up early this morning to go pick DD up and am really feeling sluggish, tired and generally crabby. My eating this week has been atrocious. Time to get up and get back on track or else my one pound up will turn into four.
