Before After

Back to the Beginning

About a month ago, D accepted an offer on his flat.  Given the market conditions, I didn't want to get my hopes up too much.  But as time went on and they got closer and even set a date for completion, I started thinking of it as more and more of a likely thing.  He was going to move in with me in three weeks.

The buyer pulled out last night.

I'm pretty devastated.  I know it's not the end of the world and we'll move in together eventually, but there are a whole slew of reasons why it doesn't make sense for me to move in with him.  It's a long story and a complicated one, and I don't have any answers.

So we're back to the beginning now.  Starting this process of trying to sell a house again so we can move on to the next phase of our relationship.

Did I mention TOM is in town?  That's not making this any easier, let me tell you!  I'm trying to put a positive spin on it somehow.  I'm trying to say to myself, Self, it's okay.  Look at this as a new beginning.  Rather than waiting for that fateful day when D moves in with you, you are going to start moving forward.  You are going to keep on doing the good things you're doing, and do more of them.

But Self is having a hard time believing that right now.

I'm SO sorry....

What an emotional let down for you! I can only imagine how disappointed you are. Try to keep that good attitude and know that things will fall into place one of these days.

Self

Remember, SELF is not at all rational when TOM is in town.  I'm sorry the sale fell through.  I am also a firm believer in things happening for a reason.  It's not always for us to know why.  But it will all work out.

Here is the word

OK, pass this word along to "self" for me please.

God's timing is always RIGHT, not ours, He has a reason that things are occuring in your life as they are at the moment.  We don't understand His timing and He does not always intend for us to understand.  Look at it like this......He is working a good in your life and He will bring everything together for your best life ever.  All you need to do right now is accept the circumstances and know that the end results will be even greater than you expected.

Tabouli Salad

1/3 cup bulgur wheat (daughter used box of tabouli mfg. Middle East)

2 clove garlic crushed

juice of 3 lemons

1 bunch mint frest

parsley (8 bunches chopped) I don't think she used this much

4 whole scallions (thinly slice both white and green parts)

3 whole ripe tomatoes diced

salt & pepper to taste (fresh ground pepper)

olive oil for taste (optional)

Prepare bulgar then mix in lemon juice, crushed garlic, salt and pepper, allow to rest until bulgur is soft, about 30 minutes.

chop parsley, mint, scallons and tomatoes then mix with the bulgar mixture.  Toss with the olive oil.  add additional olive oil, lemon juice or salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with small romaine lettuce leaves.

This was delicious to me, I hope you enjoy.  I am going to the grocery store today to get the ingredients and fix some for my dinner.

Blessings to you.  Chargail

Aw.....

I've just seen this ..... I'm so sorry that D's buyer pulled out. Did they give a reason?

Boot Camp sounds "fun" in a masochistic kinda way!

Glad to hear that TOM is moving on out, perhaps it may take some more weight with it also.

I was in London yesterday .. I see that Christmas is coming!!!

ohhh nooooo!

jenny - i'm so sorry to hear the buyer backed out ... AGAIN.  it will happen someday, it will, but i'm sorry you were disappointed yet again.  try not to let it get to you too much.  focus on the good things: you've got a great guy, a great job, great friends, great family, and great life!
