Carter Julian arrived 5 weeks early

Well it seems that Carter wanted to enter the world about 5 weeks early.  LOL He was born on December 31st at 2:13am.   Weighed in at 5 lbs 10 oz and was 19 inches long.  Because he was early he had some breathing issues in the beginning and was taken to the NICU.  Those problems resolved themselves in the first 24 hours which was awesome, but he still stayed in the NICU unit until he learned to drink from a bottle well and gained back the weight he lost. 

Carter left the NICU and came home on January 13th and we are loving having him here.  Mackenzie loves being a big sister and Jason and I are loving having 2 wonderful children!! 

So on the weightloss side, I went in for my 2 week check-up for my c-section and found out I lost all my pregnancy weight!!!  Woo Hoo!!!  I was also given the all clear to go back on weight watchers and so I started that this last Wednesday.  So far its going well.

I'm glad to be back on the weightloss wagon.  I hope I can get down to my goal weight by the summer.  We'll see!!!

Update 32 weeks!!

Well I've been told by a fellow EP'r that I needed to drop in to do an update so here it is!!  LOL

The pregnancy is going well.  I'll be 32 weeks this Friday and the baby and I are doing great.  I actually have my c-section scheduled for January 28th, 08 so at least I know this little guy won't be here any later than that!  LOL 

I have been having Braxton Hicks a lot but nothing to report home about.  I had actual contractions with Mackenzie early and I don't want that to happen with this one.   I still have another 2 months pretty much so I'm hoping this little guy bakes in my tummy a bit longer.   LOL 

As for the weight gaining, I'm up to about 190 lbs.  So about 25 lbs total since I found out I was pregnant.  I'm kind of hoping not to go over 30 lbs gained but with 2 months left, I can't see that happening.  I just hope it comes off as easy as it did after Mj was born.

So thats my update, things are going well.  I can't believe x-mas is almost here.  I hope all you guys are doing great on your diets and i have to say, don't let the holidays get to you!!  Fight the urge for that 2nd or 3rd piece of pie!!  You can do it!!

Checking in at 25 weeks

Hey Ya'll!! 

Just checking in to give an update.  The pregnancy is going well.  I'm 25 weeks along and we found out we are having a little boy!!  Jason and I were so excited when we found out!  We don't have a name picked out yet but we have it narrowed down to 2.  Only 3 1/2 months left before this little man is here!!

I'm excited to share that I've only gained about 12-15 lbs so far.  My goal is no more that 25-27 lbs total.  I think I'm doing great.  I'm watching what I eat and trying to eat mostly veggies and fruit. 

If you've continued to read my blog I appericate you sticking with me.  I hope you all are well!!  I'll try and check back more!!

Checking in.....11 weeks along

Well hello my fellow EPers.  I want to thank you guys for the comments on my blog.  My dh and I are excited about this new little bean but we have so much to do before he or she makes there apperance.  LOL

So with my Ultra sound on the 25th of May I found out I was only 8 weeks along or about 2 months.  They gave me a due date of Feb. 1st.  I am currently 11 weeks along now and will be 12 weeks come Friday. 

As for eating, I've been trying to focus on healthy things, sandwiches, salads, chicken breast etc.... but its so hard when I'm craving nothing but pizza and Olive Garden Breadsticks and Chicken Alfredo!!!  So far I've gained about 3 lbs from my last wi here of 165.  I'm hoping to stay under 186, so would be a total of 21 lbs gained over the whole pregnany.  Its a bit of a stretch since with my DD I gained 35.  I'm really hoping I can lose the baby weight like I did last time, in the 1st 2 weeks after giving birth.  But we will see.

So far the only symptoms I'm having is I'm tired all the time and the frequent trips to the bathroom.  All is good.  The baby is doing fine.  I have my next appt on the 30th.  I'll try to remember to stop in and do another update then.

I guess God had other plans....

The reason I have gained 5 lbs in the last month and haven't been able to get it off is because I'm expecting a new baby!!!  I know I can't believe it myself. 

I have been on Birth Control for the last couple of months since having my DD last September.  With my DD I had to take a fertility drug in order to get pregnant and I was so sure I was going to have to do that again come September when we started TTC again.   Well I guess the good lord had other plans for me.  LOL I had stopped taking my BC on the 8th and I was concerned when the 18th rolled around with still no AF (Aunt Flo) that something might be wrong.  Well to rule out pregnancy (because I was so sure I wasn't) I took a test and sure enough it was a !!  I was so shocked.  I couldn't believe I got pregnant on my own with out any kind of pill to help!!  Dh of course is so excited and can't wait for a new little one.  So I assumed I had just gotten pregnant and was only a few weeks along,  ummmm yeah not quite.

According to some blood work I had done last night (to confirm the pregnancy) I'm about 2-3 months along already!  Which means I could be due in December!  Thats only 6 months away!!  I have a ultra sound tomorrow (the 21st) to get a due date so I'll update you guys more when I find out whats going on.

I just wanted to update you all.  I won't be doing my diet anymore but I'll try and update my blog with how i'm doing and pictures once the new baby is here. 

Hope your all doing well!!  Keep up the aweseome work with your diets!!  Hopefully this new pregnancy weight will come off quickly and I'll be able to get down to my goal weigh some time next year!

Life........

Life.  Thats is what has been going on with me for the past 2 weeks.  Life.  From a sick daughter, to work being crazy, to 3 birthday partys, 1 wedding and 5 open houses, to getting the house cleaned for company, Life has completely taken over my days.  Please forgive me for my lack of posts.  I've just been overwhelmed to check in. 

Deep  breath.  Its all over now and I'm hoping my LIFE will go back to its normal pace of crazy.  LOL  But a crazy that I can handle. 

So I wish I could say that this entire time I've been following my diet to a T and I"ve lost 7 lbs!  But alas I can't.  I cheated and I had my cake, and treats and pizza.  But I had them in good moderation.  I can honestly say I didn't go "way" overboard these last couple of weeks.   So I'm happy to report I'm still at 165 but I'm unhappy to report that I haven't lost a lb.  Not one.  SIGH  oh well.

So this week I'm starting Day one again.  I've been super good  yesterday and so far today.  Jason has softball tonight so I'm hoping for a easy dinner of a boca burger and oven fries.  I  have 10 pts for the rest of the evening so I think I'll be good with that.

So far I'm good with water, but not so good with exercise.  Maybe I'll take a walk with MJ tonight while Jason is playing softball.  Who knows. 

So thats my story and I'm sticking to it.  Thanks to everyone for checking in with me.  I promise I'll try to be around more often now.

Day 1 down, 97 to go....

Today is day one for me.  I am starting again at my current weight of 165 and I'm making a new goal date for myself of August 31st.  I've also erased all my  previous weights on my blog weight chart.  I'm start FRESH!!

My DH and I have decided that we are going to start TTC again starting in September.  I have made a challange for myself to be at or within 5 lbs of my goal weight before we start trying.  I really want to get down to my goal weight in case we get pregnant right away.  That way I can work off my pregnant weight and not my pregnancy weight plus some once the baby is born.  KWIM?

I really needed a new pick me up because lately i've been doing so badly with my weight and diet.  I've gained back 4lbs of what I've previously lost and I didn't want to keep heading in the wrong direction. I need to get back on the program. 

So far today I've had:

  • Breakfast: Nature's Valley Bar: 4 pts
  • Lunch: Cheese Pizza and Popcorn: 8 pts
  • Dinner: Taco Salad Wrap: 10 pts

I'm also drinking 6 glasses of water today and making sure I take my 2 Vit. D pills since I don't drink milk and a multi vit. 

I hope I back for good and I'm back on track. 

Yay Down a lb

So I'm done one of the lbs I gained.  Wish it was more but I'll take it. 

Jas and I have started the diet back up and we even got in some exerice last night after Mj went to bed.  No......not that kind of exercise.   LOL  I know what you all were thinking.  Jason walked/ran on the treadmill and I did my workout video.  We will be a buff couple yet.

Monday....A new day, a new start!!!

Alas, I've been slacking ever so much on this thing called a diet.  I haven't followed the program in weeks but I'm happy to report that I've managed to maintain with in a lb or two near 161.  But I don't want to stay at this weight forever.  I need to keep going,  I just can't find the drive to get back on plan. 

Does that make sense?  I want to do the diet but my motivation is down the drain.  How can I get back on track and stay there?  I do so well during the day but when I get home and start dinner, I just go down hill from there. 

Its not like I gorge myself at night, I just have 2 helpings instead of one.   The meal is just so  yummy that I want to go back for seconds when I really shouldn't.

I've been bad about blogging and I need to get back into that.  I just wish this diet thing wasn't so hard to keep on track with!

Dead Last!!!!

That what place I came in on Sunday at the Breast Cancer walk I walked in.   But I have a good reason, I went with my friend and we both took our 7 month olds with us.  Well we kept having to stop for them, either to feed them a bottle, change a diaper, or to wipe their snot (That would be my DD).  For pretty much anything.  LOL   We were so behind everyone that they started packing up the cones that lined the route and they told us we had to get on the sidewalk so they could open the road for traffic.  LMAO.  We were destined to finish the race even if it killed us!!  LOL  We actually were cheered all the way to the finish and were on TV for being the last!  LOL  Oh well, we had a great time and got in exercise all at the same time.  I think next year.....either we'll have a different game plan or our DD"s are staying home with their daddys.  LOL

As for me this week I'm maintaining.  Which is ok because I wasn't the best this week.  Hopefully next week I'll have better news. 

I'm feeling better this week but still a little sick.  DD is doing better but is now on Meds.  I hope she feels better soon!
