March Goals

So I've been inspired by a few others here on EP.  On their blogs they have set goals for themselves each month and I've decided to start doing this for the month of March. 

Since I'm just starting I don't want to make my goal so lofty that I can achieve them, but I also don't want to make them so easy that its just pointless to have them at all.  So after much thinking, here is what I've come up with:

Meals:  Each Sunday prepare the whole weeks dinner meals so I know what I'm cooking ahead of time.  I find if I don't know what's for dinner I find that I'll just munch on whatever and its mostly not the greatest point food.

WW: So my goal this whole month is to try and stay within my daily points as much as possible.  If I have to use flexies use no more that 15 FP each week.

Exercise: Try and get in 10-15 min worth of walking in a day.  I can do this by taking my lunch with me to the mall  and/or taking the kids for a walk on the weekends. 

So those are my goals and I'm sticking to them.  At least I'll try my best to keep them

I think its time to bring a little exercise into my life

I've done great so far on WW.  But now that I'm getting close to my goal weight I think the weight will start to become harder to take off.  So today I made plans with a friend from church to have a playdate for our daughters at the mall where they have a new kids play area.  That way after the girls are done playing we can walk around the mall a couple of times and maybe do some window shopping. 

I just wonder how I can get exercise in at home after work and on the weekends.  I have a few "Firm" dvd's but those are an hour long and who has the time to do an hour long workout when you have a 17 month wanting to watch Sesame Street and a 2 month old needing to be fed.  I can't wait until it gets nicer outside so I can take our new double stroller out for a walk with the kids.

I really want to do a better job about exercise this year but I feel like I'm trapped a doing nothing until its nicer outside. 

Man do I love WW!!!

Ok so I had to go to the mall yesterday to pick up some things at Bed Bath and Beyond.  Well right next to BB&B is a Mrs Fields cookies store.  Let me just say, anything chocolate is my downfall!!  But instead of letting my cravings eat away at me and end in a pig out fest, I went ahead and got 3 mini chocolate chip cookies and a diet coke, and I still was in my point range for the day.  I love that I can splurge on things like cookies while doing this program and I don't have to feel like I'm cheating the program or myself!

My Menu for the day:

Brown Sugar Oatmeal w/2 tbls brown sugar: (4.5 pts) Smart Ones 3 cheese Ziti and 1 piece of Garlic toast (8 pts) Taco Salad with Ground Turkey (5.5 pts) WW Orea Bar (2 pts)

 

 

2 tenths of a lb!!!

That's all I need to get to my 1st 10%!!  Just 2 stinking tenths of a lb!!  I'm so close I can taste it!!!  I going for it all this week.  My goal this week is to drink all my water, get all my fruits and veggies in and my milk and oil count as well.  I can totally do this!!  I'm aiming for a weight loss of 1.5 lbs this week!  I can do it

Well I posted some new pictures we had taken this last weekend.  It was nice to get some new family pictures done.  I was comparing this picture to our old family picture and I can def. see a difference in my face. 

Looking Back

So I've been reading other's posts and alot of people have been mentioning how many years they have been posting on EP.   heyalexia just celebrated her 2nd  year on EP, killerhair08 mentioned she has been posting for a year.  So I decided to check when I started and found that I missed my 1 year EP anniversary by about a month.  But I'm here now and I'm celebrating my success. 

The past year on EP was great.  I noticed that the more I posted on EP about my success and struggles the more I learned about myself and the more weight I lost.  I've also made some great friends and I'm a better person because of some of the people here on EP.  So today I'm setting a new goal.  I'm setting a goal to keep my EP blog up to date and try and post at least 4 times a week.  That way I can hold myself accountable and you guys can too.

Skinny!!!

Yes you heard me right, Skinny.  That is what I was called yesterday by my co-worker.  She actually said "Jenn, you are looking way skinny.  You look great"  I was in shock.  I haven't been called skinny in years.  I forgot the word actually exsisted.   LOL  But you know what, for the first time in years, I actually do feel skinny.  Well skinnier that is.  Also, I'm actually feeling good about myself all over.  Apperance wise, personality wise, etc.  And I'm loving feeling this way.

I had WI this morning and found out I was down another 2.4 lbs!  I was so excited because I really wasn't expecting a loss at all.  Thats 14lbs so far gone!  I'm only 2 lbs away from my first 10% goal!! 

I really need to stay on this way of life.  I don't want to get off track because I'm finally seeing some results!!  Yay for results!

10 lbs gone!!

I had my 3rd weigh in last night and was down another 1.4 lbs for a total of 10.2 lbs lost in 3 weeks!!  I'm so excited.  I looked in the mirror this morning as I was getting ready and realized that I could actually see my colar bones!!  Can you believe it!?!?  Who knew I had colar bones! LOL  And to make life even sweeter, I'm finally under 160 and honestly it has been years since I've been under 160.  I"m sooooo loving this!

My BIL is getting married on the 17th of May and I'm really hoping I will be closer to my goal weight by then.  Jason is in the wedding and will be looking all hot in his tuxedo so I have to make sure I look just as good in my new "goal weight" dress.  I know I can do this!!!

 

Grrr stupid blog!

Well I'm annoyed!  I had this huge long post and I lost it when I went submit it!!  BLAH!

Well I had another great WI this week, down another 3.6lbs this week, which is a total of 8.8lbs in 2 weeks!!  Thats the best I've ever done on WW in the first couple of weeks.  Mom had a great WI too, she was also down 3lbs which is great!  I'm so glad I have her to do this with. 

My maternity leave is over on the 11th and I'm excited and bummed to be going back to work.  I'm gonna miss spending the day with Mackenzie and Carter, but I know they will be in good hands with my mom watching them.  I hope I can stay on track when I'm back at work.  People are always bringing in brownies and such and its hard to stay on track with yummy stuff like that around me.  I have to be better about bringing some point friendly snacks with me.

Woo Hoo!!! Awesome WI!!

So I had my first WI last nigt and I was down an awesome 5.2 lbs!!!  WOO HOO!!  That is the largest weigtloss I've had yet!!!  I'm so excited.  And my mom has started WW with me as well so now I have someone to go to the meetings with.  Jason has also started WW but he is doing it on his own so I'm so excited to have the support at home to stay on plan.

So far today I've had:

  • 1 1/2 c. Raisin Bran Crunch (5 pts)
  • 1 c. 1/2% milk (2 pts)
  • 1 granny smith apple (1 pt)
  • 1 cheese Lean Pocket (6 pts)
  • 1 Diet Mt. Dew (0 pts)

I've also had 1/2 my water for the day as well.  Things are going great so far!!

Day three and going strong

We'll its the third day doing WW and its going well so far.  Of course everytime I start the plan back up my mind goes crazy with things I "want" to snack on that isn't so point friendly.  Good thing I have stocked up on fruits and pickles.  Very point friendly!! 

So far today I've had:

  • Breakfast: Raisn Bran Crunch w/1 c. milk (7 pts)
  • Lunch: Spaghetti w/ 3/4 c. sauce and a dt mt dew (10 pts)
  • Dinner: 4 Mozz sticks and a smart one tv dinner (13 pts)
  • Dessert: WW Oreo Cookie Bar (2 pts)
  • Total: 32 pts.  

It's nice to have the extra points because I'm nursing,  def helps because I find I'm hungry a lot more often,  And thirsty all the time.  I really can't get enough water!!
