Swimming

So, for my exercise I have been doing The Firm, aka The Transfirmer...working great so far but I don't feel like I am doing enough since there is a rotation calendar that you follow and most weeks I only have to do it 3 times.....I decided today while I was in the pool with my girls that I would actually swim some laps in there....I couldn't believe how tired my arms and legs got after just a few laps but that was the most fun exercise I have ever done!  Thank goodness we have our own pool because, NO I would never swim in front of anyone except my husband and girls...HA! Then again we live in Phoenix Arizona so it's hard to find a house without a pool here! It's damn hot! :)

Pools are everywhere is Arizona, haha. its like a form of survival.

When i went on vacation, i thought great its going to be hard for me because JC has showed me what to eat and its weird to not have lunch from what they give you. However, there are some things you can do that can make your vacation a whole lot better.

When you go to eat, take time to look at the menu. Always look for the lighter side menu. I know that most restuarants do have menus like that. If they dont, then look for something that is grilled.

Here are some tips i took while eating on my vacation

  • ask for a box before you get your food that way you can cut it in half when they bring it out. Unless you share with someone.
  • Where they serve bread or chips, limit it to one to two pieces, and i know its tempting but either put it away from you or ask to be taken away.
  • Always drink water! I went threw eight glasses in one sitting. Try to just have water.
  • When you get full stop eating, i tend to keep on eating sometimes. And when the waiter comes have them take it away so you wont be tempted.
  • When it comes to desserts, share!!! And if know one doesnt then do the same you did with the food.
  • You are allowed a splurge. BEWARE! everyday i said i could have a splurge! haha, so if you do a splurge do it something you want!
  • Now...when it comes to on the road driving/flying or having to eat quick. Heres my plan
  • I dont eat fast food anymore, or cokes since the last four months, so when it came to eating it was subway, quiznoes or a sandwich shop.
  • If you have to eat at a fast food. look to see what they have. For example at wendys you could get the baked potato and a fruit and water. Or Mcdonalds has the fruit and walnut salad with water. So i guess its all about portion control, when to know to stop, and taking your time!
