BOO treadmill

So, I don't have too much time tonight, but I just wanted to write about my workout... So the weather was pretty crummy today, so no running outside, and my car was recently vandalized so, I really couldn't drive it to kickboxing safely, so my last resort for a workout was to go to the clubhouse and run on the treadmill.  I've been running at a nearby park, and regularly doing 3 miles at a time, so I thought 3 miles on the treadmill, piece of cake (but not the chocolate kind ) Well, I made the three miles of course because I wasn't going to stop knowing that I can run three miles, and I did it pretty close to my normal time (which is still really slow, but at least I run the entire 3 miles, and don't have to stop and walk anymore) but it is really hard to stay motivated on the treadmill.  There is just nothing to keep your attention.  I had the TV on to keep an eye on the weather since tornados where possible (non touched down near me which is good)  but still a 35 minute run felt like 3 days.  I learned today that the treadmill is only an option for a workout when there are no others, and will be used few and far between.

On a happy note, I've stayed within my calorie goal so far everyday this week and have worked out everyday so far that I planned to so am hoping Sunday's weigh in will show a good loss!!!

YAY!!

So you got back on track and you hate the treadmill...join the club... I cant stand it either. I feel like I am a hampster when I am on it. I love the eliptical though. I can do a shorter amount and get more out of it plus it doesnt hurt my knees and my back like running does.

Well good luck on your last 20!!!

Treadmill

I totally understand what you mean about the treadmill being the last resort.  It's mine too.  I finally moved a TV out to the area where the TM (a.k.a. The Beast) is located.  When I have to do the Beast, I watch a DVD (TV episodes are 45 min).

Best regards!
