Going to try this one more time

Ok, so as you can se by my recent weight update, I have been losing, yay!!!  But not as steadily as I would like, so I'm back to doing what I need to get back on track.  Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my 10lb weight loss so far, but I have been dieting off and on, and it feels like it has been more on than off for over a year.  I've finally found something that works, it seems as though my workouts were not intense enough, well that has changed, I know go to kickboxing 2-4 times a week for an hour, which is really intense, and I've found that I actually like to run, so I've been running on the days I don't go to kickboxing.  I'm hoping to have the extra money soon enough to join a gym because I would like to have more options available to me, like yoga and spinning classes.  Unfortunatley the extra expense can't be right now, but is definatly the plan in the very near future.  What I have realized is that the biggest problem I was having before was that I wasn't enjoying the process of losing weight.  I didn't enjoy the food, I hated exercising, there really wasn't anything that I enjoyed, it all felt like such a chore.  Well it's a lot easier to talk yourself into a cheat food, or skipping a workout if its no fun, so I've found workouts that I enjoy, that I look forward to, so I don't want to miss them, and they are more of a treat than a chore.  I also feel that my tastes have changed, which has helped, I don't crave the junk as much as I used to, so when me "cheat day"comes I don't neccessarilay want to cheat.  I'm still not a huge fan of spendig all kinds of time figuring out my meal plans and what I going to eat and counting calories, but we have a computer program that does most of the work for you, so I've been trying to learn to enjoy that aspect as well, I do like that this program tracks not only your food, but you mood, your workouts, just about everything that you would want to track when trying to lose weight, and most importantly, (for me anyway) it does all the math!

Sounds like...

... a great program.  Glad you like it.

Also glad to see you are experiencing a loss, and very glad to see you back on EP.

I know what you mean about not wanting to eat as much on your "cheat days."  After eating healthy all week, that type of food really does make you feel like crap.  After awhile, you start to realize that it's not worth it to feel that way.   However, a little bit is good though, because If the option of a cheat day was taken away, I believe all I would think about is what I'm not supposed to have.   THAT would drive me crazy.  How about you?

Anyway.... glad you are doing great!

Have a nice weekend.
