Great workout

I  just got back from the gym and for  the first time this week I actually am in a good mood after working out.  I've just been so down the past few days after my third weigh in and no loss (which of course is much better than a gain).   But I've been so frustrated spending so much time exercising and preparing all the healthy foods so that I can eat three meals and two snacks a day.  I'm not one to cook, in fact I hate to cook.  Thank God I have a bf who not only likes to cook, but is good at and cooks healthy food, but I can't expect him to do everything.  I'm just glad that I am finally able to focus on the positvie (that I'm doing what I need to do to actually lose the weight) instead of just focusing on the fact that I haven't lost what I thought I would have lost by now, which just depresses me and make me want to give up.

great job

Good job on making it to the gym.  Workouts help my mood too!  Proud of you! Keep up the good work!

Keep it up!

I know it can be very depressing sometimes, DON'T GIVE UP! If I don't give up, then you don't give up!  It'll get better, just takes a while, for some it takes longer than others.  But honestly, think about it this way, even if you're not losing any weight right now, you're still doing amazing things for your general health... you're lowering the risk of heart disease when you get older and various other things... living a healthy lifestyle isn't about necessarily losing the weight, it's making sure you don't get winded walking up the stairs, and regardless of how much you weigh, if you're not healthy, the weight doesn't matter... just a thought! :-)

congrats on being able to eat the "right" things... keep in mind however, that you can't ALWAYS do the right thing, you can't ALWAYS eat a salad with grilled chicken... sometimes you have to eat the mac & cheese or pizza or whatever your vice is.  It's about the portion... and if it keeps you sane having a little every once in a while, you're not gonna hurt anything.  be sure to take care of YOU while you're worrying about your body! :-)

Good luck!
