birthday 2008
I had Lebanese, I had Thai, I had BBQ, I had Pizza!
I had cake (twice!), chocolate and bakhlava!
Let's not count the drinks!!!
But you only have your birthday once a year and i had a weekend long one:) i'll be good starting now, and will work out those calories. Thank you everyone for your sweet birthday wishes. I love you all

Doc visit
I went to doctor for my back pain today. He made some x-rays and said that they look okay, but he sees some slight extra curvature but it's not that important. He referred me to their SportWell center . i'll tell you about it next week. For a chiropractor i need to pay a handsome cap and i'd rather spend that money (that is nonexistent right now!) on some dancing shoes: They would do me better.

a question for the runners out there!
a question for you runners out there:
When i run fast, which happened today in my Cardo-camp class, i have this blood taste in my throut. i don't know how to describe it, but it is close to when you have blood in your mouth, there is no actual blood, don't worry now! Is it beacue i start breathing with open mouth when i run fast? (well my nose is just not enough ventialtion!) or do i need to drink more water during the run? or drink gatorade? Do any of you experienced this too?
I also have back pain already. That run was really intense and i ran faster than usual...not that wise, but i had to show off for some reason!

LOGs
Keeping logs in general makes me feel bad. Since i feel depressed seeing my bad patterns. But i start logging my food intake here. i think i need it, i've been eating too much and working too little lately.
Food log
1/2 cup outmeal, with splenda
1 big apple
3 walnuts 1 matchbox green raisins
1 slice of meatloaf
1 fat slice whole wheat bread
1 cup buttermilk
another slice of the meatloaf
3 cups of green tea
1 100 cal granola bar
1/3 of a banana
1 bowl of Salad
1 big bowl of spinach-lentil soup (Baran has the recipe!)
1 palm size rice crust (tah-dig)
4 spoons of Gheyme Stew
Workout
nothing yet / i'll go to Cardio-camp class at 5:30 / I did, it was breath-taking, but good. Studying
Nothing yet
I made a to-do list. i'll start item 1 right now
still nothing:( i came home and cooked gheyme.

Smile, it's sunny
I woke up early today. It was a sunny day. I tought my new class, went to gym, ran a little, had my strength class. Now i'm in office printing stufff to read for my research. i decided to start a new path and leave the one i've been stuck in for a while. maybe it gets better when i get back to it at another time. i feel somewhat better today, sorry that i burst last night.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
I think i got this seasonal depression. Today i didn't leave home at all except for a irish dance class an hour ago, which didn't cheer me up at all.This is a pattern i'm afraid of, what happened to me in summer too. i seek refuge in working out and i don't do any work or study. i hate mid January. My birthday is coming up and i hate that fact too. Pretty much i hate everything right now. Don't come close, i bite or i cry.
oh, and I ate a whole big pack of feta cheese with lots of salted pistatues.

My new Body Mass Analysis
Today I had my third(?) Body Composition analysis. Look at my previous results (4/18/07) here .
There is still that descrepency between their scale and mine at home, I weighed myself at 118 this morning and there I was 115.2 lb.
Here are the numbers:
BMI 20.4
Fat % 15.8% (3.6% decrease since last time)
BMR 1312 kcal
Impedance 485 Ohms (22 ohm decrease)
Fat Mass 18.2 lb
FFM 94.6 lb
TBW 97.0 lb
Hydration level 62%

My Tofu-chocolate Pie
Thanks to Andrea for pointing out photobucket website to me, here's the picture of my pie :)

The pie had a very nice and semi firm texture, more like a cheese cake texture. Here is the recipe: Moo-Less Chocolate Pie. It's very easy to make and you can impress people with it!
I had semi-sweet chocolate morsels, so i added 4 table spoons of suger and cut the honey. The result was still bitter-sweet with a hint of coffee, yummmm! I used instant coffee instead of coffee liqour.
I also used the ready rolled Pillsbery pie crust. Bake the crust first then add the filling and Chill.
Calorie-wise it's a 12 ounce pack of chocolate chips, 1 pack of Firm Silken Tofu, 4 tbs Sugar, and the crust = 24*70 plus 4*50 plus 4*50 plus 8*110 = 247 calories per 1/12 size slice. Not that bad for such decedant dessert.

EP's good changes
Did you guys notice that now in your friends' list the right hand side here, you get an update notice? this is quite cool specially nowadays that blogrolling doesn't work.
If only EP people could let us upload pictures in a post, then i would have everything i wanted from a blog server. I have a photo of my Tofu-cholate pie that i want to post (not in my album), hehe!

1. I went to the good old Strength class today. Boy, i am out of shape, the 5 pounders almost killed me. I used to do 8s! Since i had time left in my parking meter, i went on the treadmill after the class and walked on hill for 30 minutes. That was a good workout all together.
2. Spinning: Well, the pain down there is better after 3 days. I might go back to that class next week, but those bike seats are really hard and uncomfortable! if i go, I will wear a sanitary pad this time, it might help a bit!
3. I went shopping today. Among other things, I got me a nice little black skirt in zero petite from the Loft. I remembered old days when my concern in shopping for apparel was that if they'd show my belly. Nowadays that has been changed to if my boobs can fill them up! You can never be completely happy with your body.
4. I made a tofu-chocolate pie for the dinner party i'm invited to tomorrow. I hope it tastes good. My tofu-pumpkin pie was a success.
5. It's 3:30 a.m. Goodnight.
