Happy Spring!

Salutes to you all, and salutes to the New Spring,

I've been busy for a while. First it was the Nowruz prepration and celebrations, and then i went on a week long Spring break trip to Washington DC. It was a great trip. I got to visit family, spend time with my dear friends, specially Shabtab and Ninabeh, and dine in ethnic restaurants. The city was blooming with magnolia flowers and cherry blossoms and I visited two orchid exhibitions. I might post some photos in yahoo group later if i receive requests, hehe!

Meeting two fellow-anarestani friends was a real opportunity. I wish this country was smaller, or we were closer!

Now, my resolutions for the New Year:
- I should try cutting back on suger and white carbs.
- go to gym at least 3 times per week.
- walk to school instead of driving or taking the bus.

My left foot is kinda sore, after a walking marathon i had last thursday. I was on foot from 8 till 8! The pain is not constant and is not that bad. It comes on if i walk more than 3 minutes, and it gets worse if i put my weight on the other edge of my foot, so i was kinda reluctant to go to gym these past few days. I don't think it's something serious and i hope it goes away soon.

I like my figure!

Tonight i went to the annual Norooz party in our university. It was a good party, with haftseen and dinner and dances, and an epiphany!
" i like my body they way it is!"
I don;t want to be one of those skinny girls. I saw 3 of them tonight, and they all are new students who came recently from Iran, and my God, they were badly thin! Is it how all the girls look like now in Iran? For myself, i like to have muscles. I adore the buldges on my arms. I like my legs and my thighs. I believe that there should be a reasonable amount of fat in a woman's thigh! And tonight i though, even the small bulge i have in my belly, is okay. I can live with it. I am about the right weight for me! What a pleasant discovery:) From now on, my mission is to keep my weight between 117-119, be active physically, and eat healthy. At last i am in peace with me:)

Thanks Sheri joon for your suggestion. I'll eat something energetic tomorrow before class. I had kinda lost my huge appetite in couple of days back, which was something wierd in my case(!!) but i usually eat around 1600-700 daily.  I will get some natural peanut butter next time i go to WholeFoods, Or maybe Almond butter... I wanted to try its taste.
