Good and Bad

Well I havent been doing the greatest with food. I just cant seem to stop eatting.  Even when I pack my lunch or make a healthy dinner, I just keep grabbing for more and more.  However, I did get back to the gym.  I told myself the first day Id just pop in for a quick 30 min exercise.  A little is better than nothing and if I thought about spending a long amount of time there then it was harder to convince myself to go.  It worked!  I went and it felt good just to be moving and working.  It got me there and reminded me that I enjoy exercise and I shouldnt dread going to the gym.  So I went back the next night and did 40 minutes.  So although its not enough to offset my bad eatting, I feel good about my exercise.  I'll have to work on the food some more.  Tonights trick or treat so I need to resist the temptation to dive into the candy bowl between passing it out adn it means no time for the gym.  Thats ok though because I know I can take a day off and get right back to it the next.

Im still afraid of the scale.  I need to get on there and face it.

candy bowl

i am so so glad that we picked the building to move into that we did...  NO KIDS! well, a few, but they are all under 3 so it doesn't matter.

i hate the candy bowl. i always end up picking out my favorite candies and passing out the ones i hate!  only a little malicious...

great job getting back to the gym. i had to face the music, too.  its not so bad.  everything kind of falls back into place.

Gym

Let's look at the positive first.  You went back to the gym.  That's awesome!

Now let's talk about the eating.  If you are eating when you're not hungry, there's got to be a reason.  Is there something else your body is needing?  Are you getting enough sleep?  Are you getting what you need emotionally?  Things like that.  I just think that when we eat for reasons, other than hunger, there are underlying issues.  We are trying to fill a void.  And that void is different for each person.  So, just wanted to put that out there. 

I'm so glad you're back in the gym, though.  And I know that feels wonderful!

Trick or Treat

Tomomorrow is Halloween!!!!! or are they doing trick or treating early in your neighborhood? Are you still keeping track of your food?.....sometimes that can tell you something....but going to the gym is always a good thing.

Candy Bowl

Ahh the dreaded candy bowl  I know if I had to pass out candy, only 2-3 kids would get a treat beacuse I would have demolished the bowl.  Hmm I say leave the bowl outside the door.  LOL  Out of sight, out of mind.
