Well I didnt do terrible eatting yesterday but only because I drank too much and didnt think about food. My sister and I went for just 2 drinks after work and then I was going to head home. Well that turned into several more. I hate when I do that. I feel outta control if I drink more than I planned, like I knew I shouldnt have more than two so why did I? My sister thinks that all the calories and carbs used up for the half marathon may have effected our metabolism so the first drink or two effected us more quickly than normal, making our judgement more impaired on whether or not to have more. However, this seems to happen more when its me and her together than when we are with other people... So today will probably not be back to working out for me. I'll probably head home and get to all the things around the house that I never got to last night.
Thanks everyone for all the congratulatorywishes yesterday! They really made me feel great and accomplished!

some drinks
are better choices than others....if you are going to drink....but I think you did OK...at least calorie wise...by not going wild with the food....like in the past.
i have the same problem with drinks! two is never enough... i try to just limit to as little as possible i go out for drinks. plus, i think that super-fantastic-amazing run you did probably burned them off!
maybe do what my friend does since you are a runner. if we ever go out drinking, she takes a sharpie and makes a tally mark on her hand for each drink she has. the next day, hungover or not, she runs a 1/2 mile for each drink. cruel, but it works. and she always thinks twice before ordering another round! i started using her method- trust me, it is pretty effective when you think about all those miles that you will be running the next day.
Drinks will always fill you up, maybe for every drink you have you can follow it up will a big cup of water. It will keep you from getting a buzz, keep you hydrated and going to the bathroom to elimate the toxins from the alcohol.
Do you think that since you and your sister are comfortable that is why the drinks work better for you guys. You know maybe you guys feel that you can relax around each other.
Just wanted to say great job on the marathon. As far as your blog.. depending on how much you get to see your sister maybe you should just find other places to meet to avoid the temptaion.
