and it was good. I made a conscious decision that I was going to eat a cookie at work, and I can honestly say I have no regrets. I'll set the scene:
Fridays at my job are always crazy. We converted to a new software system yesterday, and the people hired to train us stayed just long enough to get us through the first round of problems. Today, the second round came, and we were all on our own. We performed exceptionally well in my opinion.
So anyway, at around 3:00 pm, I was feeling the pressure. For about a half hour I contemplated whether or not I would break the diet and eat any one of the thousands of snacks that sit around the office. Finally, I caved. I remembered something from the "28 to Motivate" CD I got: "if you're going to slip, and you've made up your mind to let it happen, do it a way that makes it as easy as possible to recover, mentally and physically.
Basically, I ate a cookie. No regrets. It was the best 130 calories I spent today.

Well, look at it this way...
at least you didn't eat a whole pack!! And you were in control of the situation. You'll never go through life and not eat another cookie, so I think you did great. One cookie is not going to make or break you. Remember moderation is the key. Don't worry about it and move forward tomorrow!
Justin,
think of the big picture. i have been in your place. I went from 320 to 220. It takes a while. But if you are consistant you will loose the weight. it isn't the occasional cookie that will keep you heavy, it's the finding a special event on a daily basis that will.
don't sweat the cookie, just stop and get back on track.
think of the goal! what is your goal, maybe you should write about what you want to do when you hit it, or what you want to do along the way to your goal.
keep up the good work!!
I think you have done real well ! Let's face it !!! It is not eating one cookie that got as where we are to day or at least it wasn't for me anyway. It started with one but before I would be finished it would wind up being 6 or 7 anyway.Give your self a pat on the back because you have showed true strength & control in the fact that you eat one & stopped at one ! Now in my book that is what you call control over your cravings .! Way to go Justin I'm proud of you .
