Before After

Still going...

I'm still working on my mini-goal of trying to be under 200 pounds by Christmas by I only have 6 more day sot do it - ack!!

I got on the scale this morning and weighed in at 202 so just a few more pounds... we'll see if it happens.  I won't be SUPER sad if it doesn't but it would be the first goal I've set for myself and not acheived so I would absolutely like it to happen.  It is tough when you want to celebrate the holidays with family and friends, though!

Pictures

Today we went out to Meadowlark Gardens and had some family photos taken by a very good family friend that does wonderful photography in her spare time.  We should get them back tomorrow and I'm so excited to see them!!  It was a blustery 40 degrees out today, though sunny, so it was hard to keep my 2 young boys out for too long.  Hopefully there will be some nice ones though!

Mini Goal

I've decided to set a mini goal for myself....

I want to be UNDER 200 pounds by Christmas!!  I hope that I can do it!  I've got about 10 pounds to go to do that and about 4 weeks to lose it in.

Fingers crossed!

Dinner party

We had a group of friends over for dinner last night and it was a really good time.  I made Salsa Chicken in the crock pot, corn, Spanish rice and salad for dinner and it all turned out pretty well.

Crockpot Salsa Chicken

3 or 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
A jar and a half of salsa
2 packets of Taco Seasonings

Toss it all into a crockpot and mix the spices into the salsa.  Cook on low for about 5 or 6 hours (or until the chicken is cooked through).

Super easy and Yummo!

Crimeney!

So the Thanksgiving holiday is over...

We were supposed to go to my parent's house - about 3.5 hours drive South of us.  My sons both got a virus and my older son, who's 5, his turned into bronchitis.  So, needless to say, we ended up staying home for the holiday.  It turned out fine and we made the turkey and sides here.

I ended up getting sick, too, and now have something similar to vertigo.  No fun, I can say!!!  I went to the doctor this morning though and was put on some meds and I'm hoping they'll help.

As for weight loss... it's been slow going with the holiday and sicknesses!  I think I've maintained my pre-Thanksgiving weight, so that's something.  I'm back on my Diet to Go meals, though and once this vertigo is kicked I'll start working out again.

I can't for the life of me get this picture to post correctly in my first post, so here's my second attempt.

Another successful week

Well it's Friday :)  Another week done.

Last weekend was my son's 5th birthday and this Tuesday was his actual birthday.  I didn't do too great during those two events trying to keep him spoiled and had to work all week to get back to the same weight I was before them, haha!  It's done now though and the slate has been wiped clean.  Every journey begins with one step, right?!

That's been one of the main things that I've had to remind myself of with this weight loss... if I make a mistake, it's OK!  Just don't keep digging the hole deeper... start right back on the healthy track and it will work itself out.

Virgin

OK - so this is my first time giving blogging a try.  I have been trying to lose weight with my hubby since about May of this year.  We've both been doing wonderfully and I'm so proud of the progress that we've both made.

Here is a side by side comparison of me thus far...

I am a stay at home mom of 2 adorable boys - Jaden is 5 and Gabriel is 16 months old.  We keep very busy but it's all fun - or at least most of it is :)

As for how I'm losing... I've been doing Diet to Go (www.DietToGo.com) and working out as often as possible... usually once a day for an hour on the treadmill.  I plan on adding in some weight training once I have another 10 pounds gone so I'm hoping that will help me out, as well.

I'd love to get to know others on their way to being healthier and smaller versions of themselves   Drop me a line anytime!!
