Mid-Week Slump
I was doing so well this week on getting out and walking. Even Friday, when I didn't really feel like it, I pushed myself to get out and walk a new 3-mile circuit my FH planned out for me. He then headed off to visit with a friend and I sat around procrastinating instead of walking. When I finally got up and off my duff, I felt ten times better to be breathing fresh air. It's also helping a bit with me getting better acclimated to my surroundings having just moved to the UK three weeks ago.
Now, today was a different story. I was THE LAZIEST SO-AND-SO on the PLANET! It didn't help I had cramps that had me nearly immobilized for the greater part of the morning / early afternoon. I took 3 Nurofen Plus tablets (with codeine) and within 30 minutes I couldn't feel my arms or legs and I was very drowsy and light-headed. I had a rest for a bit and then by the time I felt good enough for a walk the rain came -- good timing. The rain and I are not friends, BTW.
I'm fully confident that Sunday will be better, however. I always walk to Mass and the weather is supposed to be mostly sunny. Plus, I'll get some cereal and a banana when I come back and then hopefully head out for a good jaunt through town before any serious clouds head in. Best to get in a good amount of walking when I know a Sunday Roast is forthcoming -- and a mighty TASTY one at that...mmm.
