Inadvertantly took another day off

So today I inadvertanly took another day off from hittin the gym. All day we've had severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings! Its bee crazy and I happen to be deathly affraid of tornadoes, so you can imagine I didn't leave the house once.

That's okay. Today will be my only day off all week. The sun will be back out, tomorrow at 9 :)

Back at the gym

The Gym was closed on sunday, so I had to wait till Monday to go, but I went! I'm so proud of myself. IT's always the hardest to go when you haven't gone in a while, so yesterday was difficult to say the least.  I'm a little sore, but I plan on going tonight as long as we aren't stil in a Tornado watch.

hospital food will eat you alive

So, after my last post things got crazy. Lily kept having breathing episodes where she would choke and turn purple, so we went to the ER on our pedi's rec. They admitted us to the hospital where we stayed.. for FOUR DAYS.

Yeah, we didn't see that coming. We FINALLY got home today and Lily is doing very well, but it was a long week with a barage of tests (sono, urinalysis, blood work x2, eeg, ekg, ph probe, telemetry and more) and obviously NO time to work out. When you mix that with having to eat hospital food (I never left the hospital once the entire time we were there), well, that equals 5 extra pounds on your ass.

Shockingly, I knew exactly how much I'd gained and it is ALL in my stomach. I can see every last pound. My jeans don't fit anymore. You can see my "pooch" through my shirt.

It's just not attractive.

So, since the gym is closed tomorrow, I guess I am starting back at the gym on Monday AM.

If I don't pass out from lack of sleep this week, I might try to go for a jog tonight to clear my head.

ugh, bummer

I was all set and motivated to go to the gym tonight, but we had a change of plans.

Lily, my 7 weeks old daughter, started suffocating on apparently nothing, and turned a little purple for a second until she was able to breathe again. It freaked me out, but it freaked me out even worse when she did it again an hour later. So we called the DR and ended up having to go in to have her seen. Turns out she's having esophogeal spasms and if it happens again they will have to do a reflux sono and some other scans and blood work to see if her esophogus is leaking into her lungs :(

So anyways, tomorrow I'm back on the wagon. I won't let myself skip another day.

I did it!

I got a gym membership today!

I'm so excited to see how this goes.

I worked out while I was there, but I'm not going to post my measurements until tomorrow. The girl who took them today didn't do a great job so I'm having them re-checked tomorrow :)Just b/c if i'm doing this, I wanna do it right... and I don't want my next measurements to be messed up.

think i've figured this out...

I think i'm under-eating. Every day when I eat like i "normally" do, I gain or maintain. Every day when i "overeat" I lose. So today I've "over-eaten" again, and we'll see what the scale says in the morning.

GOAL ONE: ACHIEVED!!!!!

I woke up this morning and weighed in almost 3lbs lighter than i did on monday. This puts me both below 150lbs AND back at my prepregnancy weight which was my first mini goal!

ouch

pretty rough week. Last night we went out for Mexican and Margaritas with family, and then came home to play Scene It and have wine at my parents house. LOL  We had a ton of fun, but it wasn't so kind on the waistline.

This week WILL be different. Back to eating healthy, and i'm finally able to start doing more working out as I'm 5 weeks postpartum. (still no doctors OK until next week, but that's alright)

Biggest Loser

So this mom's club that I run is doing our first ever Biggest Loser Competition. It's gunna be so much fun :)

Today was our first day. We had to send in the start weights/scale photos and before photos.

I'll post my "BEFORE" pics on here tomorrow. It's not gunna be pretty. LOL

 

 

On the upside, today I put on the pair of jeans I wore in my "4 weeks pregnant" photo with Lily. They are size 8 jeans from the GAP. They are a smidge snug in the waist, but they fit and they buttoned and everything. So I'm pleased.

I also wore a prepreg top from Old Navy that I used to practically live in :)

Ouch...

yesterday was our "off day".

We went to my parents house for dinner last night and had a bar-b-que. OH MY GOD we had a lot of food.

They made/had:

Hamburgers
Hotdogs
Shishkabobs (sp?)
potatoes and onions
jicama w/ ranch
chips
pickles
and more.

It was nuts. And JR and I let loose a little too much.

I was POSITIVE I'd gain back a lb or 2, but didn't. I lost just under a lb. Thank God, b/c all that food was so good. LOL
