7am - BREAKFAST: 20oz, soy, sugar-free carmel latte (220cal, 6g fat) 2 servings of those 'awful' yogurt covered almonds

FIRST GOAL: Drop 12 lbs by take off to BRAZIL!
You all know my final goal cause it is posted right here to the right of the page but my FIRST SMALL GOAL is:
DROP 12 pounds by July 20th
when we are planning to go to Brazil to visit my family. It is a somewhat conservative goal but I prefer to loomk at the scale and see I have gobe beyond my goal then to set myself up for failure.

04/15/08 - FASTING
My stomach did not feel well last night...probably all those yogurt covered almonds
.
I decided to fast today. to cleanse my system and also for spiritual cleansing...fasting prayer is something jesus did a lot and we don't do enough. I still feel pretty unstable when it comes to eating healthy and I need to lift this up in prayer
When I fast I have liquids only for 24 hours.
7am - BREAKFAST: 20oz, soy, sugar-free chocolate, sugar-free peppermint latte (220cal, 6g fat)
11am SNACK : 1 DanActiveLight (35 cal, 0fat) 1 Promise Activ (70cal, 3.5 fat)
About 1pm LUNCH: 1 - 15.2oz bottle ODWALLA Strawberry Banana Fruit Smoothie (260cal, 0fat)
5:45pm DINNER: I did not make it till 8:45pm as I wanted. I was sooooooooo hungry...probaly because of the lack of sleep and because I skipped the afternoon snack so i decided to have dinner - 3/4 cup mashed potatoes 1TB parmesan cheese 1TB yogurt spread 1 cup cubbed chicken w/ grileld onions flax seed tortillas with corn bean salsa

Looks like my company is about to announce it is merging with another company...of course I know nothing about it (see "Am I being merged or what?" post) . Didn't have time to journal yesterday but here it is:
7am - BREAKFAST: homemade latte (coffee, 1/2 cup almond milk splash of hazelnut coffee mate)
About 9am SNACK : 1 1/2 cup of honeydew 1 serving (5 slices) of Low-fat deli ham
12:30pm - LUNCH: Baja Fresh (no tortilla, corn chips, shreded pork, 1/4 cup rice, guacamole, salsa, grilled veggies, black beans, sour cream)
WORKOUT: Curves 30 Min (3xcircuit)
4pm SNACK : 1 serving of yogurt covered almonds, 1 serv BBQ Soy nuts - i should not have bought these yogurt covered almonds...I love these things and could eat the whole bag with only one bite
5:45pm DINNER: 4 Trader Joe's mini cheeseburgers Bottle of Tangerine juice 6 madeleine Cookies (DUMB)
8:45pm Mindless eating while driving back home from bible study
2 servings of the yogurt covered almonds

Weekend Update
Last weekend I did not workout but I worked like crazy around the house even though I had a pretty bad headache...thanks to my period...Can't wait for this thing to be OVER 
SATURDAY
I completely forgot to journal...not a very good start ... but I'll blame it on PMS, hormones, grumpiness.
I know I had 1 serving of instant oatmeal for breakfast, and 1/3 cup corn popped with olive oil for dinner ...ah...I remember...lunch was a quick salad of corn, pinto beans and grape tomatoes and mazanilla olives w/ 1 TB white Balsamic dressing 2 fish baked, low breading fish sticks 5 Dinosaur shaped- whole wheat- chicken nuggets 
SUNDAY
I had a cup of coffee for breakfas 1 slice of buttermilk bread with 2 slices of low fat deli ham rolled into it...i went to the 11:15am Church Service so I came home at 1:30pm...starving...had some homemade beef and brocolli stir fry with rice...for dinner...a fish stick burrito with fresh avocato and mango/peach salsa...really good
Pretty good memmory considering I did not right anything down.

DAY TWO: I'm Still Pumped :)
Yes! I am still here baby :)
My boss gave me the rest of the day off and I will sure use it. I'm going to do some shopping...basic stuff...some house stuff...shopping nonetheless.
I have had some pretty cool insights on this whole weight loss process and put all my previous attempts into perspective and I've come up with some pretty cool ideas on why I've failed before and what is diferent in me NOW that makes it ALL completely different.
I also found some articles by a PHD lady online about weight loss, confort eating and secret eating and all this kind of things. She has this pretty "holistic and almost exoteric' approach to the whole thing which I sure did not like BUT after sifting through all her articles I found several core ideas that did match what I've been going through in my life and I think there are some key points I have to face here. I'll write more on that later.
I will probably log Blog over the weekend because I do my best to give all my attention to my family on the weekends and since i work in front of a PC every day all week...the last thing i want to do is log on on the weekend...so I will probably be updating my weekend on Monday....i'll write it all down to register here :)
7am - BREAKFAST: 2 slices of super high fiber protein sprouted bread, 2 oz ham/turkey, 1TB yogurt spread, 1TB honey, 16oz white chocolate mocha (I know...not the healthiest but the daycare owner made it just for me :)
9am SNACK: 1 serv Kashi Go Lean Instant Hot Cereal w/ Clusters Honey & Cinnamon made with water only
12:30am - LUNCH: Taco del Mar Mondo carne Assada Burrito w/ rice guacamole

DAY ONE: WOW !
WOW...this Blog Community ROCKS!
I have been looking for something like this for quite some time now and I guess I have found it all here. I am very excited to get started, to have a goal and a deadline and a plan...and a great tool to support me.
One of the best parts is to have a community to share this with.
LET'S DO IT!
7am - BREAKFAST: 2 slices of super high fiber protein sprouted bread, 2 oz ham/turkey, 1TB yogurt spread, 1TB honey, 20oz soy sugar free carmel latte
11:59am - LUNCH: Q-Doba naked shereded meat burrito (no tortilla, no rice) guacamole, salsa, lettuce, corn, grilled veggies, black beans, medium diet soda
4pm SNACK : 1 serving of yogurt covered almonds, 1 serv salted cashews
6pm DINNER: Flax seed tortillas Mediterranean hummus, yuca root with 1TB yogurt spread
Boy...I was so hungry at 11:59am...I had to eat. I felt lightheaded standing in line at Q-doba...I couldn't get food into my body fast enough...weird...but anyways...i am having my period and strange things do happen during these days.
I felt tired and achy in the afternoon and just could not get my butt to Curves...just couldn;t do it. I had a doc appointment at 3:30 pm because i changed helth insurance plans and had to transfer my whole life to another doctor. I was not excited about it but i had a very pleasant surprise. The doctor was fun, young and open to all I had to say and what I envisioned for my future ( I have had high blood pressure since the 7th month of my pregnancy and I still take meds for that daily). I think this might have been an unplanned change for the better.
I got home, had dinner, fed my daughter, played with her and put her to bed at 7pm...then I felt this URGE to workout...weird...very weird...I went downstairs and worked out JOYFULLY for about an hour listening to some of my favorite Brazilain music...Write the name of this band down: OLODUM if their drums don't pump you up for an awesome workout...nothing on Earth will.
7:30 WORKOUT @ HOME: 30 mins Elliptical Trainer (3x 10min intervals) bicep tricep exercises (8 lb dumbbell 3x10 reps), shoulder exercises (3 lb dumbbell 3x10 reps) 100 or so sit ups dancing like crazy around the room :)
