Forgiving & Forgetting

Horoscope

So I'm sitting on the couch, reading a magazine, and when I get to the end I see my horoscope for April. (I'm a Taurus). It reads:

There are some things that may as well not be said, some words that will almost certainly fall on deaf ears. We all know this, but there are times when we cannot resist expressing ourselves. We feel better when we get our complaints off our chest - even if nobody is listening. Feel free to say whatever you want to say this month, but be aware that if you actually want anything to change, you do not need to issue a statement, write a letter or make a phone call. You do not even need to take action. (AND NOW FOR MY FAVORITE PART...) On what is surely, at the moment, the most pressing point of all in your life, you have already been heard... and help is already on its way.

So complicated...So Frustrated...

The few people that live with me know that I'm doing WW. Well they also like to eat out quite a bit, and so do I for the most part. The thing is... when it comes to where we eat at... they always have to pick the places that are the hardest to find lower point options at. Basically the places they like, I'd have to save up my whole day of points to eat at, just for that one meal. Then when I try to suggest different places, that have more choices for me, they never want to go to them. Then I'm stuck searching the internet for the points values of those places (which can be hard to find), and I just end up feeling irritated! Then I find out like even a baked potato with butter can be 10 points at some places! It's ridiculous. What the hell do they put in that potato?? Do they marinate it in lard or something?

I just hate that the few places they like have to be soo high in points. They are all big steak & meat eaters. And they never tell me they wanna go until the last minute... so it's too late for me to save up extra points for the meal. So I'll end up going and eating a piece of grilled chicken and leaving hungry! (I sure wish I liked salad. I've tried to like salad.)

Anyway... back to my points search. I understand diets, or shall we call them lifestyle changes, take some work - but it's hard to have to think about what you are eating all the time!

Need something to brighten your day...

Weight Watchers

I'm one of those people who have tried literally every diet out there. Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, Slim-fast, diet pills, Atkins, South Beach... & the list goes on. I always lose weight initially with them, but then when I get to about the 30 lb. mark I hit a plateau, and then I go back to my old ways. Plus I always get tired of not being able to eat the things I want.

Weight Watchers was the only program that I think I could live with forever, because I can still eat the things that I like to eat. I don't feel deprived of any certain food, and that makes me in turn not feel like I just have to have it! Because I know, if I want it, I can save points and have it. There is always a downside to any plan though... I have done WW one time before and lost weight, but then I got tired of losing the weight so slowly & counting all the time.

This time, however, I feel different. I stinks that may take twice as long as say.. Slim-fast would... but at least I'll be able to not feel deprived all the time, which I think is the key for me!

This is starting to sound like one longgg random thought though ... The point is, I just have to remind myself that even though it may take a little longer than other diets, that the weight WILL COME OFF. If I keep this in mind, I won't be so disappointed if the weight doesn't drop off as fast as I'd like. Plus I won't be so miserable in the process, because I can have the foods I like.

Anyone else on WW out there?

Food finds? Please share!

Do you have any foods that you eat often just because they have a certain health benefit that you've heard of? If so, please share! I guess it's the weather doing this to me, but I'm just in the mood to eat fresh, healthy foods!

Please pray for me... I need this miracle!

If you've read my previous posts you know my husband and I have had no luck conceiving a child & that I have PCOS. Well today I'm on Day 4 of Clomid 100mg. I'm really hoping that this will work. I tried the 50 mg back in January, but no luck. (For those of you that do not know about Clomid - it's a drug given to induce ovulation to aid in conception.)

Please say prayers for me! I want this soo much!

MmM MmM Mmmm...

You should really try the new Quaker Mini Delight Chocolately Drizzle crisps. They taste Super and are only 90 cals. Plus that satisfy that need for chocolate.
