Don't Faint!
Well, don't faint but "Couch Potato Michelle" worked out on the treadmill twice today! I can't believe it myself. Now, you all put me to shame as far as exercise and a lot of other things are concerned. I'm continually amazed at how much some of you exercise! I've never gotten addicted to exercise and I want to! I have always given up before I work up to doing much but now I have you guys and you are really motivating me! This is Day Two of my "21 Straight Days of Exercise" and I'm accountable to you guys. Don't let me wimp out! I just did 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes tonight. Tonight, I was getting hungry and I decided to get on the treadmill instead of finding something to snack on. It worked. All I want now is water and I'm not hungry. I feel great! I hope you do too!

Indulging.......
Well, I didn't do as well as I had planned on my weekend in Eureka. I did have only the muffin as far as dessert goes and it was really a dessert and a big one! I was pretty good most of the weekend and then on the way home, my husband and I stopped to eat at P.F. Chang's for lunch with our 20 year old son. I LOVE that place! Anyway, I just had the lunch bowl which wasn't a lot but then I had one of those "shot glass" desserts that was smores. I mean it was pure sugar. It almost made me sick. What was I thinking? Then last night at church, I had banana nut bread and some ginger snaps, etc. It went downhill from there. My weigh in isn't going to be good this week. I know I've gained weight so I'm sorry pink team! However, you girls have really encouraged me! I'm going to make sure I exercise for the next 21 days and I'm going to get control of this eating deal! I just feel so much better about myself when I have self control and eat healthy. I saw a great article on oprah.com about why it's hard to change. Check it out if you get the chance. I think it was listed under "health". Today I did well on my eating. Tonight, I'm lying in bed listening to three dogs snore! Gee whiz! I hope you all have a great week!

Eureka!
That doesn't mean Eureka~I've been so good!!! That means My husband and I are going to Eureka Springs, AR this weekend and I've got to be careful. It's the most wonderful place to go to and there are cute little shops and wonderful food. I'm going to watch my calories during the three days with one exception. I must have one or two pineapple upside down muffins at the Mud Street Cafe. Check out Eureka Springs online. You might just decide you want to visit sometime......Ok, hold me to that muffin splurge and that's it!!!!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Never, Never Quit!!!!
It has been so busy at work in the last week or so that I've rewarded myself with food and haven't exercised. I didn't do well at all this last weekend. I was not happy with myself because as soon as I get close to my weightloss goal, I sabotage myself! What is with that? I decided yesterday that I had a choice and I'm going with Winston Churchill when he said, "Never, Never Quit"!!!!! I am going to be really good this week and get back into exercising. I'm hoping that I can break even at least. Losing weight is not for wimps!!!Go pink!!!!

Temptations!!!
I've been trying to not gain any weight this week because there has been one after the other luncheon at work or something at church. Gee whiz! I was glad that I passed up the whole sausage, biscuits, gravy, and egg breakfast at work. I had a small breakfast at home first. I took a chance to just be weird and not eat the monster breakfast. I was proud after I did that. However, two of our luncheons were at Mazzio's and I have a very difficult time saying no to the Oreo crunch dessert pizza! Ugh! I had two tiny slices of that and I shouldn't have. Tonight I have a cookout at church and I'll eat the burger but no chips or dessert. Well, the luncheons at work are over so that's good. Back to my goal of losing weight~ I'm really going to work on it from now until Thursday. I have been doing the exercise and I'm glad for that. Hang in there everyone. We can do this!! Let's remember how good we feel when we eat healthy! Go Pink!!!!!

Today has been a good day. I wanted to go pig out at the Mexican restaurant and I thought that I couldn't do that. I couldn't let down my team!!! This is awesome! I think we do have to remember to treat ourselves in other ways. Make sure you all make time for yourself and try to just let stress go through your body and not stay in your mind. I've been reading "The New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle and it's incredible. I have to take the online courses with Oprah to understand it though! Also, you have to go through it gradually. I hope everyone has a great week!

Pink!!!
Hi All!
Well, Endurer has put us on teams and I'm on the pink one! This is a very exciting weight loss challenge! I think it will be so motivating to help each other on this journey. I've worked out on the treadmill for the last five days and had about 1,300 calories a day since last Saturday. I'm hoping to go past the three pounds that I've gained and lost all summer!

Out of My Pity Party
Ok, I'm out of my pity party and on my way! I walked on the treadmill this morning for a mile which is huge for me. I always feel so good after doing that. It's just the getting started that snags me up. I have a nephew's birthday party tonight and I need to skip the cake. I hope everyone is having a good day!

Groove is on Life Support......
Well, my "groove" isn't doing so well. We took our youth group to Kansas City to Worlds of Fun and to see "Mercy Me" in concert and I ate like a crazy woman. It was so hot and since I felt like I was having a rough day, I had ice cream, fries....you name it! The day after we got home, I was on a roll and kept going. My exercise has really slowed down. So, I've got to get with the program. I see that when I'm tired, stressed, or feel like my life is out of control with busyness~ I eat. I have to work through that and I will get back on that treadmill tomorrow.

Got My Groove Back!!!
I'm pretty excited because I got my groove back! I've managed to undo the damage I did last weekend so I was glad for that. I exercised today on the newer treadmill with my ipod and reading a book! I have really been trying to watch my portions and eat healthy also. This morning, I weeded the landscaping in my front yard and it was actually relaxing until it go too hot. It makes me think about how we need to keep the "weeds" out of our lives like negative thinking. I hope everyone is having a good week. My husband and I leave for a short weekend trip tomorrow and I have got to stay focused on the goal! Doing well is easier when you aren't stressed. I will have to remember to stay focused when I go back to work. I know from last weekend that not getting enough sleep really does make you crave bad stuff~just like they talk about on the news reports. Hang in there!
