Back on the Wagon!
Geez it was hard to get thinking today - this head cold is still alive and kicking my butt seems to be its top priority. Thank goodness my wonderful student teacher is currently teaching my kidlets at school, so I can recuperate a little more and rest my voice. Bleh.
It's FREEZING tonight and I'm SO tempted to can the exercising since I've spent three hours this afternoon writing report comments for my class and I am *stuffed*. But then the logical side of my brain is telling me that exercising will make me warmer and will take my mind off my big toe, which has been sore all day for some really bizarre reason.
Tonight we have slow cooked a corned beef to eat with potatoes and veggies (YUM it smells divine still cooking!) and I'm looking forward to it. As for tracking the rest of my food, here goes: (I'll be making this a daily thing, to keep me well and truly strapped into the bandwagon!)
*2 slices of toast w/ lowfat marg and vegemite
*Cup of green tea
*Low fat vanilla fruche yoghurt
*Weight Watchers berry bar
*Bread roll with lettuce and chicken
*Glass of creaming soda.
I like feeling more in control. Now.. off to walk before I procrastinate. I'm not sure if my poor clogged up head could handle running today!!!

Gain Gain Gain Gain!
As expected, I put on over the last two weeks - but not by as much as I HAD been anticipating. (86.8kgs.) Either way, it's Monday, aka back on the bandwagon day.
My cold is still here (geez, just can't shake it!) but being at school means that I will be back in my routines, and I'm going to see if I can walk for a little while this afternoon depending on how I feel. It might keep me warm, anyway!
Back on the bandwagon - to 85kgs, I go. Hope to reach that by the end of this month.

No Excuse!
I'm having a terrible week - I haven't kicked the flu, I've barely left the house in the past five days, I've put on 2kgs and I have eaten TERRIBLY. I don't even want to talk about the stuff I've crammed into my face this week. Seriously. Sorry for the lack of updates, but it really has been a shocker.
I'm going to be back bright and early on Monday morning - with a couple of added kilograms, hopefully minus the flu and back to being good. I just don't want to talk about things right now, because I'm embarrassed enough as it is.
But Monday! I'm jumping back on the bandwagon. And I hope the scales give me a good slap in the face when I get on them, so I realise how easy it is to stuff up good efforts.
Hope you're all well.
Oh, I WILL do that survey though because I *love* them!
1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? I was a bit of a joke name - my mum wanted Belinda and my dad wanted Alyssa, so they combined them as a joke and.. it stuck. (My name is Alynda, for those of you who don't know!)

Taking Your Advice
Because you are all so helpful and clever, I'm following your advice this week and giving myself a break already! I'm still not over this cold, I can't exercise, I'm going to weigh in NEXT Monday.
(There's my incentive to not sit around stuffing my face while I'm here at home.)
The GOOD thing about being sick (ha!) is that;
a) I'm drinking lots of water to keep my throat from hurting and to fill me up.
b) Surely I'm getting good ab muscles from all the clenching and blowing my nose, right?
c) Okay, that's as much as I can think of. Other than getting time off work, but I feel so SLACK about that.
I read somewhere that it costs companies more money when people go to work when they're sick and not as productive, than when they just take sick days to recover. I'm using that excuse, because I certainly couldn't cope with my class of learning support kidlets today. I'm already booked in to take Thursday off for an eye follow up, so I'm debating whether to just take tomorrow as well. Sigh. Who knows. Stupid cold.

4am!
I have a feeling this is going to be a BAD week, weight wise. I'll weigh in in a couple of hours more, since I am awake at FOUR AM because of a horrible headcold and can't breathe!
Friday - LONG day at work, with pizza evening. Not good.
Saturday - LONG day shopping, Jason's birthday, Thai food in the evening. I was good, but still, heavy food.
Sunday - LONG day being sick in bed, lots of green tea (good) but lots of icecream for sore throat (bad)
All in all, am DREADING the scales later today because I was SO close to 85 earlier in the week and now feel like a huge, congested, beach whale. I also want to eat everything in sight. WAHHHH

Oops!
After such a great week and some awesome compliments and achievements, I had a HUGE dinner of way too much greasy pizza ... so once again, it's right back on the bandwagon tomorrow! Silly. Silly silly silly! Hopefully tomorrow's Couch 2 5k will work some of it off!! :)
For now, I'm heading to bed to veg out a little and watch some old Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes. Love that show.

!!!!!
A few days ago I ordered a size 16 dress from ebay (new with tags) because I fell in love with the look of it, a pretty knee-length chocolate brown halter dress with a nice v-shaped front. It was gorgeous, the exact type of thing I can't wear because of my shape/size.
Being a target brand and not trying it on, I didn't expect it to fit. I thought it would be just another motivational piece of clothing to one day fit into - but wasn't I surprised this evening when I ripped open the parcel and shimmied into the dress perfectly! It fits! My first ACTUAL 16. I've been kidding myself that I was still a 16 for years, I was more like an 18 pushing 20. But this was a great victory.
It's halter so I'm still uncomfortable with having lots of icky back showing, and I also have an issue with my boobs being too big to go without a bra, and looking stupid WITH a bra. But the fact is that IT FITS and I can now work out the fussy stuff later. Now if only I had some occasion to actually WEAR this spontaneous ebay purchase!!!
In good news, I ate well today - 2x toast, apple, yoghurt, small pasta bake, small veal w/ greens and potato.
In naughty news, I consumed a Cadbury Caramello Koala just now and savoured every bite. Yum!
If the achy back would go away, things would be perfect!!!

MMM massage
I think if I get to my mini goal weight of 85kgs, I'm going to treat myself to a massage for my back. It really IS bothering me, has been again tonight. It's strange where it came from - it never seemed to bother me when I was HEAVIER but now? Annoying.
This is completely random, but our school's general assistant is an older guy, who is very gruff and a real blokey bloke. I was sitting in the staffroom this morning sorting out some bookclub orders that had come in, and he came over to me and said something along the lines of 'I have to ask you something, and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask or not'.
I automatically went into "whaaaa?" mode, since I'm not usually awake that early in the morning, and he continued with a question. "Have you lost weight?" I replied with a pleased smile and an "I'm getting there" response, to which he replied "No, I mean a lot of weight?", to which I replied (again) "I'm getting there!" He said he had noticed a big difference but wasn't sure if I would have been offended had he mentioned it. Very sweet, he made my morning! And then when another staff member said something later on as well, my confidence just went BOOM! :) It was great.
I came home, and really stared at myself in the mirror. I know we can be hard on ourselves but honestly? I don't see much of a difference. My stomach still has an obscenely large 'gut roll', my arse and thighs are huge and I have the most hideous floppy arms. I'm not healthy, nowhere near yet. But if other people are noticing? I started looking harder. I guess my face MIGHT have changed a little? And maybe my stomach was just a wee bit bigger a few months ago?
It's hard to say, I'm my own worst enemy. But I'm also sticking this thing out -- and treating myself along the way so I don't feel like I'm missing out. Couch 25k Training was today, I ran again and finished it and then it was done. It's just a matter of forcing myself to do it and trying not to think of it as a chore.
Therefore, I totally deserve tonight's milk/thickshake made with low fat milk and (lots!) of low fat icecream! :)

Ouch!
For some reason, my back has been aching a lot lately. It's in the middle-lower section, and no matter whether I'm standing or sitting, it really aches quite painfully. Not sure what caused it, but I gave tonight's line dancing class a miss because of it. Besides, I have heaps of things to do here at home, so much too busy!
Today has been another good day; 2x weebix for brekkie, low fat yoghurt, green apple, low fat homemade WW pasta bake, then I had some corned beef, potato & veggies for dinner. Worst part was the yummy white sauce that went with it, but really? It's just milk, flour and butter. Much better than KFC, right? :)
Not much else to say . . . just going through the motions. Why can't it be the weekend already?
