Holy Crap!
I just completed Week 5 of Couch 2 5K! Why is that so exciting?
Because the last session of Week 5 wanted me to run 20 minutes straight.
AND I DID IT JUST NOW !!!!!
(Albeit with a 20 second pause to retie a shoelace, but then I got back up and kept going!)
20 minutes.. my shins are killing me, but wow. I am so proud, and about ready to pass out, haha. Woohoo! I threw my jacket on the treadmill clock, turned my Ipod volume to MAX and just kept going. My shins hurt after roughly 5 minutes of jogging, they turned to lead weights at 10 minutes, and I just kept going. After as long as I could stand, I threw off the jacket and saw that I had been running for 17 minutes - surely I could go another 3? And I did!
Jase is bringing a bottle of wine and some Subway for dinner so we can celebrate. I love that boy so much, he's bloody wonderful. I'm going to miss him SO much when he leaves. =(
Food:/
2 x toast w/ low fat marg and jam
2 x bread w/ banana
1 cup boiled rice
Chicken & Capsicum Stirfry
Chicken Teriyaki Subway dinner.
Exercise:/
5 minute walk (warm up)
20 minute jog (not including a 20 second pause!)
5 minute walk (cool down)
