Because you are all so helpful and clever, I'm following your advice this week and giving myself a break already! I'm still not over this cold, I can't exercise, I'm going to weigh in NEXT Monday.
(There's my incentive to not sit around stuffing my face while I'm here at home.)
The GOOD thing about being sick (ha!) is that;
a) I'm drinking lots of water to keep my throat from hurting and to fill me up. b) Surely I'm getting good ab muscles from all the clenching and blowing my nose, right? c) Okay, that's as much as I can think of. Other than getting time off work, but I feel so SLACK about that.
I read somewhere that it costs companies more money when people go to work when they're sick and not as productive, than when they just take sick days to recover. I'm using that excuse, because I certainly couldn't cope with my class of learning support kidlets today. I'm already booked in to take Thursday off for an eye follow up, so I'm debating whether to just take tomorrow as well. Sigh. Who knows. Stupid cold.

I'm so glad that you are resting! Are bodies need to get the rest in order for it to get better. So, relax, put your feet up and catch up on your day time shows. Oh! and still watch what your eating and get plenty of fluid! If possible have soup/ broth that should help clear away the stuffy sinus area!

To get better. It'd be worse if you went back to school, infected all the kidlettes with your icky germs, and then came home feeling sicker than you started.
If you don't feel well tomorrow, I say stay home. It's better to just get your rest and build your immune system up rather than get worse while at work. Plus you don't want to get the little ones sick either. Hope you feel better soon! :0)
Being sick is the worst, but trying to be helpful to others whilst sick is near impossible. Definitely take a duvet day!! Sending you healthy vibes . . .
I think you made absolutely the right decision there - it´s hard enough to have a cold, no need to make it any worse!! I´m trying to be a bit better to myself, too, and realizing that I´m just fine the way I am, though there´s always place for improvement :)
