Before After

Back to Work!

I've been lucky enough to take the last week off work while I slowly got my vision back.. but today I'm back on! And so is my being good.. I figure I've done this much, I need to get back on the bandwagon and stick the rest out! *gives more self motivation*

Good news: I stayed the same as last week. 86.2kgs. Thank goodness!

Good news: I also get to start exercising this afternoon! Woohoo! I think I'll just start with a walk and begin my C25K training tomorrow if I feel up to it. (I WAS finished with Week 4, but I'm going to go back to Week 3 so I don't kill myself trying. Besides, over a fortnight of no training isn't good!)

Good news: It was Jasons dads 60th birthday yesterday - meaning a HUGE at home party with lots of Sri Lankan foods and heaps of desserts. I spent most of the day helping his mum prepare so I could avoid sitting around snacking on all the yummy foods. Ended up eating rice for lunch, with a chicken dish and some vegetables in a nice sauce. I avoided all the greasy looking (but yummy smelling!) curries and deep fried things, and stuck with the things that looked the best. But I couldn't resist this Sri Lankan desert dish made from coconut cream, thankfully they were served in tiny bowls because they were so rich! And only had a small amount of b'day cake. It was a lunch, but served at 3pm, so I didn't eat anything for dinner because I was still full. A great day.

Good news: Jason's brother (who moved to England 5 years ago and is who I'll be joining when I move there next January) is a real sweetheart, and came home from England for his dad's 60th and WOW. He has lost a lot of weight! Out of him and Jase, he was always a little chubbier and shorter, now he looks fantastic, they look like twins. Am so happy for him, watching him yesterday and his confidence has made me want to kick this thing for good!

That's it for me - off to work (late already, typical!) and ready to start again. Hooray! (I need some at-home exercises that will focus on getting rid of my belly roll and butt. Blech.)

xo Aly :)

Welcome back!

I'm so glad you're feeling well. Sounds like the Sri Lankan feast was fantastic - i love big family gatherings... and yum! I certainly love a good curry.

Looking forward to chatting to you more now than you're back on board.
