Before After

A bit bummed.

I've worked my backside off this week - and as of last Thursday I was 91.4kgs. I was happy with this, it is the lowest I have been in ages.

Today though - on my Monday morning official weigh in? I am STILL 91.4kgs!  Totally not what I was hoping for, especially since I've exercised every single day this week.

Won't get disheartened. I am still a couple of kilograms smaller than I was at the start of all this. It's just a bit of a letdown, since I'm doing so well.

Continued thanks to all the lovely people sending well wishes. I'm adding each of you to my friends list (eventually!) so I can come back and visit you more often.

It happens

I am in your same situation.  My official weigh in is on Wednesday and for 3 consecutive Wednesdays my weigh-in has stuck on 74kg.  Still it's 3 kg less than what I started with so we're in the same boat re: frustration and motivation.  I'm waiting eagerly for this Wednesday cause I just feel that I'll post some weight loss.

The worst thing one can do at such a time is give up and start eating like there is no tomorrow. Cause there WILL be a tomorrow and the struggle will be harder if we give up today.  I'm trying to drink my 8 glasses of water (aiming for 2litres) this week. Will see if it helps.

I bought a book yesterday about nutrition- one of the things that caught my eye is a motto one should tell oneself when we hit a snag like this - it goes - "If at first I fail to succeed, I will try, try and try". I don't go round saying this to myself - I would look like an idiot - but it does pop to mind once in a while and I use it for some renewed energy to find the challenges ahead. Good luck.

It's great

a loss is a loss!  Keep up the good work!!  Have a great rest of your week!!

It may not show today...

as you keep it exercising and eating healthy, it will. The important part is being as consistent as possible. Two weeks is pretty darn consistent though so keep it up you're doing great! (I haven't gotten consistency down yet, so perfection isn't necessary either).

Oh...and don't let the scale fool you, it isn't all about the scale. Your clothes may start fitting better or you'll notice your belly is smaller before any changes register on the scale. Don't count on your scale to always tell the truth, it really doesn't know everything.
