I've had a good long think about goals and needs and changing my outlook on things, so I've made a new EP account to help me work through these changes.

Holy Crap!

I just completed Week 5 of Couch 2 5K! Why is that so exciting?

Because the last session of Week 5 wanted me to run 20 minutes straight.

AND I DID IT JUST NOW !!!!!

(Albeit with a 20 second pause to retie a shoelace, but then I got back up and kept going!)

20 minutes.. my shins are killing me, but wow. I am so proud, and about ready to pass out, haha. Woohoo! I threw my jacket on the treadmill clock, turned my Ipod volume to MAX and just kept going. My shins hurt after roughly 5 minutes of jogging, they turned to lead weights at 10 minutes, and I just kept going. After as long as I could stand, I threw off the jacket and saw that I had been running for 17 minutes - surely I could go another 3? And I did!

Jase is bringing a bottle of wine and some Subway for dinner so we can celebrate. I love that boy so much, he's bloody wonderful. I'm going to miss him SO much when he leaves. =(

Food:/
2 x toast w/ low fat marg and jam
2 x bread w/ banana
1 cup boiled rice
Chicken & Capsicum Stirfry
Chicken Teriyaki Subway dinner.

Exercise:/
5 minute walk (warm up)
20 minute jog (not including a 20 second pause!)

One more day til the weekend, thank goodness! Thanks for the kind words about my pics.. I am such a big dork! :) But it's fun to post them, I do enjoy it!

Looking UP?

Today I tried on one of my dad's belts with my jeans (they aren't TOO big or anything, just feeling a little saggier which is nice!) and for the first time in YEARS - it actually fit. I can never wear belts. This is awesome! I also had a parent tell me I was looking great at the school's birthday celebration today.. and I didn't even have to pay her or anything, hehe.

I'm going to add a really TERRIBLE face pulling picture onto my gallery today (so go check it out NOW!) but I think I'm losing a little weight around my stomach... ignore the face, I was just being a dork and showing off my new t-shirt: which is still a tight XL by the way.. boo! What do you think? I wish I had taken full body pics before and now, but I was too scared to look.. so we'll have to make do with the sitting down shot.

OH OH I also ran today for C25K without DYING. I am so proud of this achievement. It's a shame I ate terrible today - we had a multicultural shared lunch, and sadly I snacked all day long. And ate cake. Crud. I *DID* restrain myself from ordering McDonalds for dinner though... I was so tempted, but I held back. Here's todays info:

3 mini (MINI, about 5cm long) Vietnamese spring rolls
1/2 a pastry from Chile (about 5cm long & wide)

1 piece of vanilla sponge cake w/ choc icing
Aldi low-fat meal - tortellini w/ mushroom (only 1200 kjs, so not bad!)

Still Blah!

What is going on? Where did my motivation go? I swear, over the past couple of days, I've lost it... I'm not interested, I'm tired and grouchy, I'm not WANTING to exercise (gah!) and just overall blah. I wish I knew what happened.. maybe it's just an "almost end of teaching term" thing, maybe it's just laziness, dunno. But I hate this feeling and want it gone.

Nothing special to report today, other than an aching back. I walked on the treadmill (3k in 30 minutes) while watching "Celebrity Hook-Ups" on E! TV.. thrilling television right there.. or not. Blah. At least I'm doing it nightly again, yay for routines.

Getting There... with sore shins!

BLAH today was horrible and BLAH there is still a whole four days to go before the weekend and BLAH I just want to hide in my bed and snuggle with Jason until next week! That would be just wonderful... what are the chances?

I modified it a little bit today because of some leg problems, but still lasted the full 30 minutes with intervals.

(OH MAN, my shins hurt today for the first time in a while - I actually had to stop and take a breather because I was in a lot of pain. Hopefully they'll sort themselves out soon.)

Monday Weigh-In

Well, the scales jumped all around this morning, but I'm starting this week off with a loss of 800g, almost a kg which is good enough for me. =)

Blah - MONDAYS. Horrible, horrible day of the week.

Another weekend gone? :(

I know I make a habit of grumbling, but I WISH WISH WISH the weekends didn't fly by so quickly. Nothing spectacular to report here.. I haven't eaten anything too naughty, I've done at least some form of walking/exercising every day and I'm hoping for a small loss tomorrow morning if all goes well!

Breakfasts have been the usual toast w/ margerine and a green tea, lunches have been banana sandwiches - today I had grilled ham and cheese which was a nice change. Dinners have been home cooked: I made apricot chicken, basmati rice & veggies on Friday night, lean chicken mince & herb meatballs with pasta last night. Tonight I am taking my grandma out to dinner (we're keeping her company, since my parents are overseas for the next month or so) and I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick to a roast meat/veggies type of meal. We'll see when we get there.

I finally (FINALLY!) finished Week 4 of Couch to 5k - meaning tomorow I start Week 5. I'm a bit terrified, because the third session this week says I should be jogging for 20 minutes straight. MAN. Terrified wouldn't half describe it. We'll get to that as it happens..... but I have a couple of days to warm up to it first. Hope your weekend is going well - not looking forward to this week work-wise because I have SO much crap going on. Bleh.

Pizza Pizza Pizza!

I treated my bleh feelings with a homemade pizza dinner.. not so bad compared to the other naughty things that are lying around.. although I did go a little heavy on the cheese.

Not to worry - I walked anyway for my 3k in 30 minutes, which is good. As long as I'm still moving.

I don't have much to say tonight other than the fact that I'm still bleh. I hope that tomorrow (FRIDAY!) will fix those feelings up.

Bleh

The happy joy feeling has been replaced with a sort of belated moody blues feeling. Bloody PMS coming back, I thought I'd had an easy week. I feel like a huge pig, and I haven't even done anything bad food-wise. Just not feeling GOOD for some reason. Don't ask me where it came from!

I didn't want to do it, but I did my Couch 2 5k.. I sort of had to force myself today. I then had a bath because my back and shins are aching .. not feeling good! I also have aches in my stomach muscles, I used Jason's old ab roller thingy yesterday for the first time and I think it's finally hit me - I don't know that I'll do that every day, maybe every second day or something. I'm desperate to try to get this flab off my upper and lower belly, it's horrible. :(
