Get out and Trot Virtual 5K Race!
Thanks to Kate Who Ate for posting this I wanted to put it in my blog cause I think it is an awesome idea and I will be participating in it!! I will reach my goal of posting a loss for Thanksgiving weekend and it would be absolutely AWESOME if I broke the 200's that weekend but that might be a little too ambitious of a goal so I'm just hoping for a loss.
LocationStore’s First International Get Out and Trot 5k!

Members of the LocationStore nation are scattered around the world. From our home in Austin to folks in Maine, from California to Iraq, people all over the world are part of the LocationStore family. We all know that the holidays are a time for family, and though we may not be together, we can be together in spirit! So we are holding an international turkey trot!
The Challenge:
Run, walk, hop or trot a 5k race over the Thanksgiving weekend and send in your results.
There are 5k turkey trots all over the country during the Thanksgiving weekend. (We’re running in one in Oklahoma as a matter of fact.) All you have to do to join in LocationStore’s International Get Out and Trot is to participate in a 5k race during the Thanksgiving weekend and send in your picture with a LocationStore bib. This can be part of an organized turkey trot, or you can trot all by yourself wherever you happen to be. All that you have to do is race for 5 kilometers, wearing our special race bib (click here to download). Then just send an e-mail with your name, e-mail address, and a picture of you during or after the race with the bib on to cara@locationstore.com (put “Get Out and Trot winner!” in the subject line)
The Prize:
LocationStore goodies!
Everyone who finishes the 5k race is a winner. Every winner will be entered in a drawing for a LocationStore.com gift certificate and will be listed on our website as a LocationStore National Get Out and Trot winner! The winner of the drawing can either receive a LocationStore gift card or have the cash value of their winnings donated to the charity of their choice.

You! We believe in leading a healthy lifestyle, and getting outside and moving is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
Charity! Since this is a Thanksgiving event, we encourage everyone participating to donate some amount to a charity that helps feed those in need. The LocationStore team will be running for Meals on Wheels. Everyone who includes their charity of choice in e-mail will get special recognition on the website, and their charity will be listed alongside their name. The winner of the drawing will also be allowed to donate the cash value of their gift certificate to their charity of choice.

Race for 5 kilometers over the Thanksgiving weekend (from the Thursday through Sunday) wearing the LocationStore bib (anywhere on your person) and send in your info along with a picture of you racing or after you finished and be entered to win a LocationStore.com gift certificate!
