133.8!
133.8 this morning! Repeated three times. Wonder why that happened??
Isn't it silly how good this makes you feel?
Nine and a half stone--for the day at least. Woo hoo!
Tonight it's Rodney Yee's Total Body Power Yoga. (Last night was Cathe's Body Fusion. I know that's an intermediate workout, but she mopped the floor with me anyway!)
Hope everyone is having a good week. Where is everybody, anyway?

Wow!
That's exciting! I love seeing good numbers on the scale. Thanks for checking out my blog - I'd love to hear some of your favorite concoctions that you've come up with.

clothes horse
Hey Tawa! The clothes horse sounds like what I've got going for the previous 2 loads of laundry. I'm out of places to hang stuff. :( The 'couple of towels' thing was an understatement. The washer and dryer here are pretty small, and what I used to be able to do in 3 loads (whites, darks, colors! :) now takes me six loads or more. I did a lot of research last night, and the new front loaders are sort of angled so they are easier to get into, use less water, spins the clothes to almost dry, and therefore require less time in the dryer. Sounds efficient. Plus, they are large enough for a king comforter, so I could do sheets and towels together, all BF's blacks in one load.... oh, the possibilities!!! :)
Congrats on that scale victory! wahoo!

Back bends
I saw your question on Ashleys blog and those are my favorite. To get from on your head to all the way up, you really have to keep moving upward with your hips as much as your arms. Also, make sure you have your shoulder blades drawn firmly onto your back so that your arms and shoulders are integrated with your chest and not doing all the work alone. The integration thing is something all of my teachers are totally cracked on, and the easiest way to illustrate the difference is this: hold your arm straight out in front of you and stretch it out as far as it goes. Now pull your shoulder toward you without bending your arm. You should feel the shoulderblade slide flat onto the back. Try to keep that feeling in your arms and it will not feel as hard to push up into upward bow pose.
That's really long, so I hope it's specific enough to be helpful.
Congrats on 133.8!
Also, thanks for the warning re: sodium. I need to get my kitchen put back together so that I can do more whole grains and less processed crap again, but since I don't have any sodium-related health problems I don't sweat it much when I do eat a high-salt meal. But it's appalling how much is in most fast food, and Quizno's is no exception.

also
on the upward bow: a lot of women feel like their arms are not strong enough to support them. You are definitely strong enough and I know you are not under the illusion that you are a wimp, but it still takes a major leap of faith to actually push up if you haven't done it before. Trust that your body can do this, and don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen right away. I think Ashley blogged about the first time it worked for her, and there are other poses that I can't do right now but I trust will happen at some point in the future.

I agree...
the numbers motivate me as well. That's why I've decided to go back to weighing in every morning. It sets the tone for my day.
Great news for you!
