The woes of traveling on a diet
So it's been definely a few weeks since I last checked in with my little blog and weight loss tracker. And more than a few things have occured since then. I was in D.C. and Chicago for the last two weeks for training for a new job. Of course they provided every single meal for us. Did I have any self restraint? Of course not. Especially the last week where at the Wyndham hotel at O'hare they fed us buffet style. Over the weekend my parents were in town and took me and my brother out for some high quality dining - pizza with dad, scallops and prociuito with mom. I feel like I got most of the "toxins" out on sunday and today I am back to keeping my food diary. However, (get this) my brother/roomate tells me when i get back from Chicago that my bathroom scale is broken and is consistantly about 10 lbs under actual weight. So I tossed it out and will just use the scale at the gym. The kicker is, though, that with the added 10 lbs to my supposed current weight, I am topping out at over 200. 203 if i have to guestimate. FOR. THE. FIRST. TIME. IN. MY. LIFE. I've had the weeknd to digest this, felt like crying a bit, and can do nothing but continue to do my best. My new job starts on tomorrow and I am committed dto working out twice - weights in the Am before work, signing up for PM cardio then - then cardio after work. Super duper excited to see some results from this. i've never attempted the two workouts a day thing, but I've heard its good for you even if you just do 15 minutes of cario two times a day. We'll see what happens! I'll be weighing in tomorrow morning at the gym before work. good luck out there!
