Gym Junkie
I can't go to the gym tomorrow because I'm working 9am-7pm, then going out in the evening!! I can't do my 3 hours! I think I'm addicted.
But then, because the gym closes on the weekends, I have to go to the gym as much as possible during the week to make the most of it!!!
I'm gonna run outside around my neighbourhood in the morning tomrow just before work. I never usually do 'nature'....I'm more an indoorsy-work-out-type of person. But tomorrow I'm gonna try it. Haha Perhaps it will allow me to do more interval intensity runs...sprint/jog/sprint/job till I get breathless.
Well....here's an old photo of outside my house. Pointless, yeah I know....so sue me
this is where i run:

I'm back on the radar
So it has been more than a month since my last post!!
I was quite busy with uni exams before, then my computer died so i haven't really been online for a while....now i got some down time to chill and thought I'd give y'all an update.
When i was in the midst of exams, I didn't go to the gym at all!!!
I didn't change my diet to make up for it and I sat on my ass the whole 3 weeks. So i didn't gain or lose any weight during that period.
Now that i'm on summer holiday......I have a bit more time (except when i have to go to work) to go to the gym & watch what I'm eating.
Last week, i started going to the gym a lot...like A LOT (average 3 hours per day), and joined a couple of classes there. Wow, I love going to those classes!!!
I'm still a bit unco and out of time with the instructor's and everyone's movements, but boy do I sweat and feel the burn! It's great! I think its good to have the encouragement from the instructor & others in the room to push you to the limit and not let you give up.
Heck if I was working out on my own with those exercises, I think I'll become sloppy with the movements as soon as I break a sweat.
I've been doing heaps of cardio as well. Just run run run run ruuuunnnnnn......its usually as I watch the movies they put on TV - makes time fly faster....haha yesterday they played Rocky Balboa. I guess you can imagine how motivated I was watching certain scenes of the movie!!

Yeah, now I'm working on losing 5 lbs per week. Coz heaps of beach times & parties coming up over these holidays and I really wanna look & feel heathy!!!
Tomorow I got a day off work so I'm starting my day early with a trip to the salon, then gym for 3 hours, then hanging out with my mates the rest of the day!!
Heres to an epic journey. Hope everyone on this website are doing well!!
Cheers!!
Michele

its been a while
Hi!
Been a bit busy lately...uni assignments, exams around the corner,
yet i've been procrastinating and doing other stuff.
Lost 4 pounds last week....its magical. I went out 3 nights during that week and had a beer each night (i'm drinkin less now, but there were many 21st parties i had to go to last week.) I didn't eat dinner those nights coz of the timing and stuff. I checked the scales and had lost a bit of weight! My tummy feels flatter too...i haven't binged on crackers, i just ate tonnes of pears & kiwifruit when i got hungry coz we got loads of that at home! Less weight makes me feel fitter at the gym too...
Um, go to the gym 5 days a week also...about 1hr45 mins to 2 hours sessions each day....many cardio workouts, trying to see how long i can endure running non-stop...but try to do at least 30mins weights resistence to tone my arms and stuff.
Like yesterday, I ran like 4km in 30mins and burnt 340calories, then i jumped on the bike and pedalled my way to another 300calories. Then got some weights in my hand, worked on my arms and did some lunges to get more junk in my trunk! So im guess that workout session was about 700calories??
what else is new? Oh, i got 2 new tattoos this week.
A star on my left wrist and the words "Close To Home" on the back of my neck. I'm so happy with them, they turned out good!
Other than that, i'm just trying to do some uni work, and i got a job interview this afternoon!
Yeah, that's about most of what's new for now.
i'll try to blog a bit more if im not too busy.
cheers,
michele

For the longest time
so now i'm in a training phase, trying to boost my fitness level.
I wanna see how long I can run consistently without stopping.
So far, i'm starting slowly, step-by-step. Yesterday was Day 1. Ran just 16 mins nonstop. Tomorrow, will add an extra 4 minutes and so forth. I time myself based on the number of songs i go through on my music player.
Gotta keep going.
Anyone got any tips on endurance and stuff to help you run longer?
Cheers!

Dammit
Yesterday (Friday) I went to the gym and focused on cardio exercises only. I burnt a total of 620 calories on both bike and treadmill. My meals were healthy, fruits served as snacks, everything was good.
But then, I binged later that night!!!
It was horrible. Yes, I was watching TV while binging. I ate a massive bowl of museli by itself (I like it without milk or yoghurt) and 2 nut bars. I was craving something crunchy and I picked mainly the dried fruits in the museli, and I forced myself to eat the rest of the oats in it. It was shitty, I wasn't even hungry but I just needed the crunch. Carb-overload. Carbs are evil. They make me fat the most. I was really uncomfortable. Dammit!!!!! Makes me wanna cry just thinking about it now.
I said to myself "Fine, this is the one free day of the week, no more now. " I should've brushed my teeth after dinner. I shouldn't have reached for that pantry.
I feel like I've thrown my efforts down the drain in one single night. What was I thinking!!! Indulging/binging is satisfaction only for the moment, but it's forever in your thighs!
This morning I woke up and skipped rope. I did get my heart rate up and sweat a little under the sun. But still not as much calories as I would've burnt if I was at the gym. Damn gym closes on the weekends! So now I'm at uni doing an assignment due soon. Then at 5pm, I'm going to powerwalk home since its not rainy. It takes about 50 mins from uni to get to my house. At least its some exercise better than nothing. Today, I'm not gonna eat much either. I feel bloated and yuck anyways. I wanna feel starved today. And eat healthy meals - low calories are a must!!!!
I really can't wait to go back into some high intensity cardio workout at the gym on Monday. It's a real fast fat burner and boosts your metabolism. I know this because after all the cardio at the gym before binging yesterday, I realized that my tummy couldn't hold it and it came out soon afterwards. My stomach was really working fast and hard. It's different from previous binging experiences when I didn't used to go to the gym.
Tomorrow (Sunday) I'm also gonna go for a morning run with my brother. He's real skinny and athletic so that should be motivating. Kinda like trying to keep up with the guys. Tough it out.
That's all now. Sorry for the negativity compared to my previous blogs. But that's the truth. I have my failures also and I just wanna get it out of my system.
I'm still keen on reaching my goals for the challenge I'm on.
This is only a small set back. I'll be back into it. I will remember this feeling of failure and the punishment sure served me well. Man, I hate this guilty feeling. I don't want it again!

I shall not check the scales!
Its been a while since I've updated my current weight on the graph. Simply because I don't wanna look at the scale yet.
Went to the gym after uni for about 1 hr 45 min again. This time I burnt exactly 500 calories on the machines (20mins cycling, 30 mins treadmill), then the rest of the time I did all sorts of exercises with weights (abs, arms, butt).
Healthy eating today too. I ate an orange & 2 kiwifruits for breakfast and for lunch I had a sandwiche I made with 2 toasts+chicken+lettuce+carrot. When I got hungry I ate my apple. For dinner I made vege taco for everyone and it was scrumptious
I drank sh*tloads of water as well. Like three 600mL bottles while at uni and another three bottles during gym. That's like 3.6L. Is that too much? Well I don't care, I pee alot (
) and drinking water keeps me from snacking. Plus, its zero calories!!
Yeah, that's also why I don't want to weigh myself. I don't want to disappoint myself not seeing my weight change. Even though I know most of it should be my water weight....right? Let's hope!
My tummy has been looking a bit flatter these days though. Which is good. Gotta keep at it!!!!! Still wanna and gotta "wow" my trainer when I see him in almost 3 and a half weeks!!!

Is it wierd.....
Is it wierd.......that today when I got changed after gym, I had a massive smile on my face when I saw the sweat on my shirt & bra?
haha....It was a proud moment for some reason!
Yeah I know its disgusting for me to talk about sweat! But I just gotta say, it was more sweat than my last gym session! Haha, I really worked hard today, I had goals on my mind (picturing myself slim) as I kept pushing myself today......
okay, sorry you had to read about how I sweat like a pig!!
I know I burnt more than 500 calories today during my 1 hr 45min gym workout. It feels good to know i've done a good workout. Here's what I did today:
- 20 mins Treadmill warm-up - 210 calories
- 20 mins 3kg Weights - Unknown amount of calories burnt
- 10 mins abs - Unknown amount of calories burnt
- 10 mins lunges while lifting weights - Unknown amount of calories burnt
- 20 mins bike - 180 calories
- 10 mins Treadmill warm-down - 100 calories
I've discovered that I am more motivated and enjoy doing the abs/weights part of the workout more when other people are in the room. Their presence is simply inspiring for me, especially if I see that they're working hard and concentrating well. I try to push myself to put in more effort, do more repetitions and put on my game face so that I don't seem like a lazy ass!! It really works for me though, I sweat more and after the workout, I feel slightly sore from the workout - in a good way!
I am so keen to go back to the gym tomorrow!!!!

Cheers for reading, have a good day!

short blog
Today was pretty fast-paced. Started work at 9am right through till 2pm then went straight to uni. So I had lunch at around 2:30pm. Didn't go to the gym today though. But I walked to work. Also, my job involves heaps of fast movements walking around the surgery, so although it wasn't a workout, I was still staying active and constantly moving around the place.
Just had dinner, now im gonna wait till around 9pm-ish and do like a 20 min abs and buns pilates workout.
That's all folks!!

ps: I love this dress!!!

180 degrees flip
Today was such a cloudy and slightly rainy day! Compared to yesterday's beautiful day!! Oh well, the good thing about that is the gym wasn't boiling hot from the sun rays!
I ate pretty healthy today, small breakfast though. But I ate a protein bar before hitting the gym...good workout for 1hr45mins. Mainly weights, ab exercises and 1 hr of running & cycling.
Day one of my challenge to amaze my personal trainer. So far so good. haha...but then again, it IS only day one.
I'm gonna be too busy during the next few weeks anyways to have time to think about food and hunger. Exams are just around the corner and I'm not looking forward to it!! I gotta go hard-out for them, since I failed the mid-semester tests for two of my papers already.....not that anyone on here cares!
Well I gotta run!
Hope everything's going well so far!

Sunny side up!
Today at the markets, I brought a whole heap of fresh fruits & veges!
For brekkie I had a banana coz I was in a rush to get out the door. And just now for lunch I had 2 minute noodles (I know, that's not very good). I prepared a fruit salad for later afternoon snacking. I put in it 1 apple, 3 small kiwifruits and half an orange. Fresh fruit from today's shopping trip!!! yum yum
It's a nice day here today! Beautiful spring blossoms, blue skies, breezy wind, warm sun! In my lounge right now, I have the windows & doors open and the perfect music playing in the background....Crystal Castles CD. I can't wait till the exams are over and I can start chillin' at the beach this summer!
What are your perfect summer foods & activities? If you're from overseas, it's probably Autumn now....what's the perfect autumn/winter thing to do?
Take care folks!
