Before After

off the wagon

Hi all been off the wagon for a  few weeks now alot bad stuff has been happening and I have unfortunately been using food as a way of coping. My cousin dyed last week and one my friends is in a coma so i am not doing well. But i will be back on wagon on monday I promise:) just need a few days get head round it all.

I am back

Hiya all I haven't been blogging or sticking to my points as such this last 10 days as my auntie and friend have been here but I am back on wagon now. I hope you are all ok. I have  had lots of fun with my auntie and friend. It was good see them as I hadn't seen them for 4 months. It's always good to catch up with friends and family isn't it.

I went to the gym

Well I faced up to my fear of facing up to the gym and I did it and I was surprised to how much I could do considering I had not been in 3 months. I did a mile on tredmill , half a mile on cross trainer and I went on 3 weight machines  so I eased back into it easy. I am considering going and just doing a cardio workout today. I felt it this morning when i woke up  I was all achey all over so I obviously did a  good workout.

plans for the week ahead

I don't usually make plans for my weight loss campaign but I think if you fail to plan your planning to fail. So I am officially making my first weeks action plan.

This week I am going to:-

-drink 2.5-3 litres of water

-eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day

-go to the gym at least 3 times this week

-To work for a mile at least 2 times this week

-To lower carbs intake and eat more lean protein and veggies

-To keep snacking to a minimum

Facing up to my fears

Well today I woke up with a good attitude that today I was going to face up to my fears. We all have fears and my main one  has been the gym. Not because I am scared the people will look how fat I am but because I haven't been since end of November. I was going regularly now my fitness will be back square one. Also scared what tony  may say but at end of day if i don't face it I am wasting my membership I paid for and also missing out and losing more weight because I could lose more with exercise combined with sensible eating. I have got to face this. It won't be bad once I made the first move.  Onwards and downwards.

Things to do instead of overeat

It's amazing what boredom can do to your weight loss plan. You're driven by motivation and determination when you're busy, but the minute you've got some downtime, it all goes down the tubes.

But if your plans are thrown off track by occasional boredom eating, it's probably a habit, Last continues. Or something you're just used to doing as a pleasurable activity.

Or, says dietician Samantha Heller, eating when you're bored might actually be a sign of stress — you feel like you have so many things to do that you're avoiding all of them, and are bored because of it.

"If you understand your triggers," says Heller, "you're better able to control how you behave when they happen." Make self-analysis your first step toward beating boredom eating.

Make a Plan of Attack
Whatever's behind your boredom eating, your second step is to come up with a plan. Try this:

1. Analyse your pattern. When does boredom eating usually become a problem for you? Mid-week? Evening? If you know when it's most likely to strike, you'll be better prepared for the battle.

2. Come up with alternates. Know ahead of time what you'll do instead of eating the next time you're bored. "On an index card, make a list of alternate activities," says Last. "Have the list with you at all times, so you can take it out when you need it."

Make sure your list is full of fulfilling things you like to do (a list of boring activities won't help). And try to include a variety of things that will suit different moods and times of day. Be sure to add a few items that will help you toward your weight goal, too. Here are some ideas to get you started:

If you have 10 minutes …

  • Call a friend or relative.
  • Go for a walk around the block.
  • Try out some calming breathing techniques.
  • Visualise your next exercise session.
  • Make a pot of herbal tea.
  • Shop online for a sexy new dress.

If you have 30 minutes …

  • Go for a walk.
  • Check out the message boards in the WeightWatchers.co.uk Community.
  • If you have a buddy that's trying to lose weight, too, call or email and see how he or she is doing.
  • Write a personal page in your journal. How do you feel about your weight loss so far? What can't you wait to accomplish?
  • Read some of a favourite book.

If you have an hour or more …

  • Look through healthy recipe ideas.
  • Clean out your closets. Throw away clothes that are now too big, or donate them to charity.
  • Go for a long bike ride.
  • Start a craft project. Needlepoint, knitting or decoupage will keep your hands busy, and you'll have something to show for it in the end.
  • Take your kids to the park.
  • Go to a Weight Watchers Meeting or read some of the articles on the Weight Watchers website.

Future happiness pudding

FUTURE HAPPINESS PUDDING

Take a great amount of determination; set aside. Blend together several
handfuls of willpower, understanding, courage, persistence, truth,
perseverance, seriousness and a basic sense of humor. Combine all ingredients
together and bake until life springs back to full meaning. When done, for a
tasty topping, frost with a lifetime of health and happiness.

when the going gets tough

When the going gets tough

When you've eaten too much and you can't write it down,
and you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
And forget all about being healthy and thin.
so what! You went over your points a bit,
It's your next move that counts, so don't quit!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back in your range.
It's telling yourself; "You've done great up to now"
You can take on this challenge, and beat it, somehow!
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal,
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
If you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the strugglers, when losing their grip
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
That the race wasn't over, they still could have won!
A life-style change can be awkward and slow,
But facing each challenge will help you to grow.
Success is failure, turned inside out
The silver tint in the cloud of doubt.
When you're pushed to the brink, just refuse to submit,

If you bite it, you write it................

Just DON'T YOU DARE QUIT!

success or failture

Woke up feeling positive about the weak ahead. Don't you love it when you wake up feeling happy. Well this happy attitude to life for me has been contributed mainly by my weight loss of 9.5IBS in 2 weeks. Yes I can't beleive it I have lost 9.5IBS in 2 weeks I am very happy and optimistic about my future and reaching Goal. What does optimistic mean anyway a lot of you may ask. well to me it means expecting the best result and outback of this weight battle and I can say whole hearted I am 100% commited to this weight loss campaigne. Weight loss takes will power, commitment and life style changes to succeed long term and keep it off long term. I can tell you now I am not going to be losing over 200IBS to gain it all back this time it's the real thing all the way and staying off. I think most other times I have been unhappy and done it for others but not this time, I am doing it for ME 100%!!!

Success is failture turned inside out.

total loss-9.5Ibs

Well I have just got back from my Saturday morning weight watchers Meeting and I have lost 4.5IBs this week. I am so happy . I am back in the zone and I intend in staying here. Losing weight really makes me feel determined and happy and I feel good about myself . I am really enjoying following weight watchers points system. I think the points system is great. You can eat what sort of food you want as long you are within you daily allowance and I a enjoying following points for this reason. I might follow core in a few weeks just to get an understanding of what it is about but for now points is for me.
