Before After

DAY 153 - just had tofu - don't feel good..

Well just had my tofu - can't say I enjoyed it like I thought I would.  I could hardly eat any of it - but even what I did eat made me feel bad.  I felt immediately that I wanted to throw it all back up - still sitting here willing myself just to wait for this feeling to pass - but it will I know and I'm not going back to throwing up .  I feel really queasy - not from feeling full I don't think - I don't feel exactly full - just like there's something inside me that shouldn't be there....

I feel like I've done something bad...    I suppose this feeling will go away soon...

Tofu or not tofu - that is the question

Hello again - thanks for your words of encouragement on my blog!

It must be very peculiar going back - I often wonder if my life would be simpler if I could just live off packs forever! And you must be incorporating more food by now if you're on a speeded up version. One thing I wish I could have on LL is miso soup - the boullion powder just doesn't quite do it for me.

Lucky you going back to Japan. I toyed with the idea of going over there in my mid 20s. A friend of mine is just coming to the end of her second year of JET and despite the highs and lows, I really think she loves it there. I made a vague attempt at learning some Japanese a few years ago. The upshot is that I know about 4 phrases and 50 kanji.

Because LL is vegetarian, I have been contemplating returning to veggidom when I go on to maintenance..but as I'm not good with tofu and the like I might find the protein aspect really tricky.

I have no doubt that you'll come back from Japan a litte lighter and will return to to your last month or two with renewed vigour.
When is the cherry blossom festival? I always forget.

food..

It's all much better now - I positively enjoyed eating last night!

I doubt I'll come back from Japan lighter to be honest - but hopefully I won't do TOO much damage.

Cherry blossoms are already underway.  We will be travelling ourselves from north to south - quite possibly WITH the blossoms - but if not we'll certainly catch them at some point - which will be great.  It all sounds very romantic but in reality what it means is mass drunken debauchery and eating!!  Great fun!!

It's very impressive that you learned that many kanji by yourself - most people give up at hiragana!!
