12 pounds down
I lost a total of 9 lbs. on the cabbage soup diet and 1/2 in. on my hips. I was done with cbs 3 days ago. Iam still dieting, well eating right, counting cals etc. and exercising. I am down 12 pounds in 9 days and have lost a total of 1in. on hips and bust and 1/2 in. in waist. I fugure if I can lose 5 lbs. a week I'll be at my desired weight by mid april.!! I've read that the healthiest weightloss is 2lbs. a week and even then by the end of May I'll be 13 lbs. above my desired weight. So I'm aiming for 5 a week.
Now I've been working out twice a day and let me say that I've never felt so OLD! The first day I worked out, I tried abunch and couldnt keep up at all, so I was searching youtube for a low impact cardio workout, just to get me started because by this point my confidence that I could do this was way low. I eventually found a workout I could keep up with, since I managed to finish it through to the end and continue for 20 min more on another workout, it boosted my confidence a little. The only thing that made me feel bad was that it was a workout aimed at 50+ years old and was designed so as not to hurt their kness etc. NOW I just turned 30 so this had me feeling pretty crumby but it also gave me the motivation to work out twice a day, because I actually realized how much Ive neglected myself and if I kept on that way for the next 15 years Id be a walking heart attack. Sooooooo, thats me trying to see the bright side of things: YES I am HORRIBLY overweight and out of shape, BUT I finally realized the extremity of it and am willingly doing something about it.
Hi there. Boy do I know how you feel. I am 33 overweight and I can barely get through my exercises. It does get better though. I can do a 20 min low intensity Zumba dance workout now and I can almost keep up lol. I have only been doing the Zumba for a little over a week. Its a challenge to keep going. But starting out at a nice steady pace is good! I plan to work up to the high intensity full workout eventually. But right now I am not in a hurry to get there. Going slow and preparing my body first is best. So don't feel down! You did that and 20 min of another which is more than I would have done!!!
