Tuesday...

Good morning!

I got my walk in last night with friends...yahoo.  A one hour walk at the park. 

This week I am wanting to  pump things up a bit.  I am wanting to be happy with results on my weigh in next Tuesday.  My goals for today are to get in my weight training and of course walk on lunch and when I get home.  So, I am wanting to do the weight training on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Is anyone else wanting to try to do this?

i don't have weights, but i do have a ball!  i will do push ups, sit ups, and butt ups with it!  i'm with you!  great job on the walk!!!!

Mixing it up

Sounds like you're enjoying several forms of exercise - that's the only way to go.  I'm sure you'lll have an excellent WI if you keep up this pace.  Way to go!

I've been slackin' on the crunches too!  I will do the ball today though!  My tummy and buns are the area's that need the most work!  Talk w/ ya later!

I read kimby's blog alot and I thought that was a very thoughtful post. Great job on getting in a walk! Weight training is a great idea. I have been getting more hours on my cook job and less on my group fitness. Weight training is awesome even if the number on the scale doesn't move inches will melt off.And that's what really counts. I haven't been getting in my weight training(at least as much as I should) I have been mostly walking and dancing.

I think I should hit the Gym for some weights today.I'll have to let you know how it went.  Shawn

Great job maintaining this week!!  I would always rather take a maintain over a gain, especially if I had "treats" during the week!

Thanks for the encouragement! I did make it to the gym,YAY!

A lot of time I have to eat late because of my class schedule. When fall classes start back up I will be teaching in the evenings(I can't eat a full meal before working out). So that leaves me hungry afterward. I know the key is to eat something healthy so my muscles will have proper nutrition.And of course a controlled portion. I did well last night after my workout. I had a bowl of soup and half a turkey sandwhich(no mayo).The soup was tomato based not cream.That makes a huge difference.   Shawn

I'm with you too! I'm up for it...we'll push hard and get the results we want next weigh-in, trust me!

 

Tues & Thurs

I usually do my weights on Tuesday and Thursdays, too. Cardio Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat. Sit ups every day-well, thats the plan, not always the action!
