Time to get back at it

 

 

I took a little break and I am trying not to feel guilty.

Making a mental note to self: "I feel better about all things in my life when I am losing weight!" I tried to put my feelings into words a couple of weeks ago when I was doing so well and losing weight. The words that kept coming out were, "this feels better". Better than the feeling of eating what I want when I want. Better than being content with my health and weight, this feels good - on the track to a healthier, lighter life.

So now I am kicking into the 2nd Qtr, time to get refocused before I lose my push, my motivation. Doctor prescriped another month of Phen, I fully expect it will continue to help curb my appetite and provide that needed (desired) power to keep me going.

Until next week ...

Oh yeah, I am chaning my weigh in day to Monday. I found that I was doing great going into weigh in on Friday but after the scale I could do whatever I wanted the rest of the day - knowing I had a whole week until the next weigh in. This seems to carry into the weekend. So now, weight on Monday will hopefully keep my weekends more in check.

Restless Leg Syndrome

My RLS is really acting up the last couple week, probably related to the Phen but not sure. I am a little more figity during the day with my legs, might be just sore muscles from all the extra movement.

Today, weighed in at 315 lbs. Very excited!!!

I did not exercise much this past week, but I did some. I will do more this next week - I hope.

Weight how long

How long should I wait between weigh ins?

Had to do it, weighed in this morning and was back up 4 lbs. I wish I did not know that, but at the same time it is making me want to buckle down harder. I think once a week might  be better for me, but not sure I can weight that long.

Tomorrow I am kicking up my exercise. Appetite is still down, but also still there. For sure I am consuming fewer calories, but I didn't eat real good this weekend. I plan to make this week a better one.

I'm Nervous, Worried and Hopeful

I could not help myself ...

I told myself no crappy food, at least not until I break 300. Now I am writing it down to myself; but nonetheless, I ate some Taco Bell last night . Oh, I should not have, but it is over. I also said, don't weigh yourself, but I did this morning. Now, the results.

My official weight loss mission begain on the night of June 22, 2008. I came home from a golfing trip disgusted with myself and recent weight gains. From 323 to 340 in just a couple months. I knew I needed some help. A friend had told me about Phen so I got an appointment with my doctor. I met with her on Wednesday June 25. I started taking the Phen the next day, 6/26.

That first Sunday, I weighed in... Finally the scale worked. LOL. I thought it was broken when it gave me an ERR message. Turns out it stops at 330.

Weight on 6/22/2008: About 340 (ERR)

After 2 days eating well, drinking lots of water. Weight at the Dr.'s office, 338.

Sunday morning 6/29: 226

This morning: 7/4: 221

I am concerned that I will not stay with it, I just can't fail this time. Too important. It feels so good to be losing weight, to be on a mission of better health. Next Dr. visit on 7/24.

Started on Phen after M&M Binge

Someone at work is bringing in Peanut M&Ms, putting them in a nice container in the breakroom - all you want to eat. I LOVE Peanut M&Ms, they are definately my favorite, especially for intense times of work.

Well, the problem is I am gaining weight. I had to do something. I found mysefly going to the store buying more candy and making daily trips to McDonalds for my Double Qtr Pounder meal, large with a Diet Coke. In 2 months I went from 323 to 340. Scary!

So I went to the doctor on 6/25 and started Phentermine on 6/26. She presecribed me Adipex but the Phen generic was only $30 a month from my Pharmacy. 37.5mg, once daily, in the morning before breakfast or 1-2 hours after breakfast. I am taking mine after breakfast, usually about 9:30AM.

I weighed in today at 327, that is a drop from 338 (11 lbs) since my Dr. visit on 6/25. I am going to try and NOT weigh again until next week. I have a set out a pair of shorts I really like but can't fit into anymore. They are size 44's. WOW, I thought I was a size 44, guess not anymore. Anyway, can't wait to fit into those shorts again. Then I will put up another pair of shorts to get into. I have 2 brand new pair of Jean shorts I bought for a steal, size 42. I never did wear them - too small. That should be next goal after I can wear these 44's again.

So I will update with results later. Bye for now.
