Hello ladies! Hope you all had a great start to your week. I know I was not ready to get back into the daily grind but didn't really have a choice.
The date on this blog says the 29th, but it's just after 12am, so it's still Monday to me. Tomorrow is WI, I'm nervous but optimistic. Send skinny vibes please!
Today was a tough day eating wise. I don't know why but I felt like munchin and snackin all day. I mean I just had the munchies..TOM is not due for another week, I've been known to have a good dose of PMS but not a whole week in advance. I got in all my fruits and veggies, using the advive to drink a V8 for a serving of fruits and veggies. I had the V8 Strawberry and Banana splash, it wasn't too bad. I also had the green Giant microwavable seasoned steamed veggies, OMG they are SOOO YUMMY! You ladies seriouslly should try them. They're in the freezer section with the frozen veggies. I LOVED them and I'm not keen on many veggies but I will eat these often. Has anyone else had them?
I tried a different tactic today. Instead of going to bed on a heavy stomach, I made lunch be my heavy meal and dinner to be light. I made the Crusted Honey Mustard Chicken from the WW website..It was...well, interesting. Very interesting combo of tastes. It was ok but I doubt I'll be making it again any time soon, plus it gave me gas...Lately, I've been noticing I have gas, alot and since cutting out diet soda I don't have it! That's even more motivation not to start drinking them again. I haven't had a diet soda in 3 weeks!!! For dinner I just had a turkey on wheat sandwhich and 100 cal Sun Chips.
I think I need to make me a work out schedule, so I will know what I'm going to do before I even go to the gym. I found myself walking around the cardio machines tonight to find something to get on. I ended up doing 30 minute interval training on the treadmill, RUNNING on incline. OMG, I felt like I was dying, I'm still wheezing some (damn asthma). Then I did 10 minutes on the elliptical and 5 minutes of the bike totalling 45 minutes and 430 calories burned. I was sweating SOO bad, it was going in my eyes burning them and blurring my contacts, my hair looked like I had walked in a downpour. Ew. And people wonder why my hair stays in a ponytail most days.
Today's workout was tough for SO many reasons. I got to the gym feeling stuffed, I had all 3 meals and 2 snacks (I went at 10pm, yes Angel, that late) and the scale said I was up 1.8lbs, devastated me. I contemplated purging. Insert old habits dying hard. I think I want this SO BAD that I can't take any let downs, I want to see a loss at any means neccessary. That is a bad thought process, I really have to keep that in control because it could get dangerous fast. Thank God I just jumped off and just ran my heart out. *sigh*
I have had the same running shoes since 11th grade, which is 5 years. They are starting to "talk" on the sides. I really need to get some more. I've bought 2 pair already but they are either too small or too big and my toes end up bruising. I wear thick socks, talked to a person at Finish Line, still not help. Those are the only shoes that don't bruise my toes. And sandal season is coming, can't have bruised up ugly toes. That's not a good look. Any recommendations?
Ok, I'm done rambling...A lot is on my mind, sorry gals. If you read this far, you deseve an award!

Skinny Vibes...
Your way woman! You're workout yesterday was awesome! Keep it up! Im sure you're WI will be great!
I have tried tons of shoes in the last year trying to find a comfortable pair and finally hit on Easy Spirit. These are like walking on a cloud! Try a pair on in the store and see what you think. I have wide feet and they are the only ones that don't rub my feet raw!
You are doing great. Your eating and your workouts are oin point! I am gonna have to find those steamed veggies and try them. I have heard that they are really good. STAY OFF THAT SCALE. Don't make me call the gym and tell them to lock it up and hide it when they see you coming! Seriously, I know it is hard to not at least take a peak at the scale before your weigh in, but since your body weighs different amounts during the day, you might be getting on it when you body weight is a little up and that can be a little frustrating.
Good luck at your weigh in! Regardless of the number, you are reaching your goals by changing your life with your new eating habits and workouts!
No wonder you were up on the scale - there is no worse time to weigh yourself, darling! Thank goodness you worked it out instead of throwing it up. I'm proud of you!
Think the planning is a great idea. I have found planning my workouts is a MUST!! Helps me stay focused, and much more effecient. I know you're going to love doing that.
How did you like that interval training? How did you space out your intervals? It's tough isn't it? LOVE IT!!!
When I was doing WW, my leader said something that stuck with me. She said to eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and supper like a pauper. Makes sense.
Now...did I read that right? Did you weigh in the late evening after eating all day? Sweetie, do you just like to torture yourself? Of course, it's going to be up. I would put absolutely no merit in that weight. GREAT JOB at doing something positive after you felt disappointed though. That is a great thing.
I sure hope you have a great day, and you enjoy your meeting tonight. Are you feeling more comfortable there?
Just kidding! Glad you liked the V8 I think the fruit juice is way better than the tomato juice. I can't stand all that salt! I have got to try those vegetables, are they plain or are they seasoned? Please make a schedule it helps, I've been procrastinating these last few weeks and I finally made one. It makes things so much easier. You already know what you have to do and you get it done! If you don't mind looking a lil silly invest in a sweat headband, they really help keep the sweat out of your eyes!
Girl what I told you about that scale? ( shaking head) Anyhow most of the time in the evening our weight is up. I think its best to weigh yourself in the morning, right after you take piss! I know that was so unlady like but whatever. Lol
I'm no pro but I heard that Aisics, Saucony, Brooks, Mizuno (not sure if spelled right, & maybe Nike. All have good running shoes. I still havent purchased mine yet. I really have to get to a running store because I don't want to purchase the wrong shoes for my feet. Sorry for leaving a long ass comment . I'm sending skinny vibes for you weigh in tonight, hope you catch them! Have a good one.
Eating heavier meals earlier in the day is a great idea. I used to eat heavy and save all of my points at night and realized that wasn't working. I try to eat my heaviest meal in the morning and then at lunch I start to taper off with my evening meal being the lightest. I really think it helps. You should go ahead and try it. I really need to focus on minimizing these comments. Holla atch later!
You are going full force on your healthy lifestyle changes. I am truly proud of you. First, never ever, never thing about purging again. If you do, think of me and say.....""Chargail will be disappointed because she says I am stronger than this""......ok.
You have a lot going on with your workouts and good eating. You will see awesome results.
I plan to try those veggies that you mentioned. I love vegetables but have not tried the new ones that you can steam in the microwave.
I like the Reebok walking shoes. The ones I buy have the wide toebox so you have plenty of wiggle room and your toes don't rub. I have tried a lot of different ones, however, I always go back to my old standby brand.
Blessings to you and keep up the great motivation you have going. Chargail
The guy at Finish Line fitted me for a pair of running shoes that I absolutely love. They have plenty of room at the toe. They are the Brooks Addiction. I hope you can find a solution soon. Having a comfortable shoe makes a lot of difference in your comfort level, plus it decreases your chance of injury!
I love LOVE love my brooks running shoes. They are several years old now and look like heck but i dont want to get rid of them because they still feel great :) I will have to invest in some new ones (im planning on doing some 5K's and 10K's) but I will definately be replacing them with another pair of brooks. I used to always get saucony but they tend to rub the tendon at the back of my ankle raw. No problems with the brooks.
