Before After

Has ExtraPounds Made Itself Irrelevant?

I mean, really—when the top blogger is nothing but spam trash? When the functions of the site frequently fail to perform? When our complaints about these weaknesses go unheeded for months at a time?

When there are other weight loss websites without all the above?

I've been on here for YEARS, but it really isn't the same as it use to be. I know a lot of people are on sparkpeople. That site looks fun, and really popular, but it is so confusing to me, but honestly, I don't get the same support on here anymore like I use to "back in the day"

I hear you!

I just got a spammer post to my blog post yesterday and it was annoying!  If I wanted to lose 100 lbs. in five months, I would have stayed on the Phen!!!!!  I would more than likely have been dead, but I would have been a much slimmer corpse!

Having just joined a few weeks ago, I cannot attest to what the site may have been like.  However, if you noticed my post yesterday, it is annoying with the activity log constantly changing the kcals on me.  The food diary is fairly easy to use, but I have had to enter 90% of the information into my custom foods (I already hav 6 pages worth!)

I am using the Exercise log on FitDay.  It allows you to enter your lifestyle and computes calories burned based upon height, weight, age & sex.  It also has every little possible thing you can imagine (down to showering and doing dishes!  I wasn't even thinking about how much those things burn!  Not the cat litter though!!!).  Problem there is the food log is a little more convoluted.  It doesn't break it down into meals, etc., but . . .

It has a few better points - the database of foods in it is much more extensive; when you do have to enter it, it is the entire label which gives a much better overall picture of nutrition.  It also pie charts your food and shows you percentage totals of what you are taking in (carbs compared to protein, etc.).  It takes the food, your lifestyle, all exercises and compares them.  This is all with just the free content.

The BIGGEST thing in EP's favor is the support.  I haven't looked to see if that function is there, but there are a few of you on here that I look forward to reading your blogs and your experiences.  It is also nice to have that support in return.

So, I guess what I am saying is that you Ladies and my laziness in not wanting to start over on a new food diary is why I keep coming back here.

.

I agree with you Helen.
