Day 14

Okay, this morning is off to a better start than yesterday!  I was 143.4lbs this morning when I stepped on the scale!  But I didn't get my workout in :(  I was up until 1am trying to get a huge sliver out of my son's foot...no luck!  Poor little guy was crying and kicking and crying out "don't do it!" over and over...It was killing me to hurt him even though I knew we had to get it out.  We did finally pull it out in pieces this morning after soaking it for awhile, lots more screaming during the process but its done!  Anyway, I had my morning meal replacement shake and I'm about to have a cup of Awake black tea while I edit reports.  I'll check in later! 

Day 13- Update

Okay, so my total calories for the day are 1579, which isn't horrible but I was shooting for closer to 1200!  The culprit was my Tuna melt from Quizno's while only a small still packed over 400 calories, I'll have to stay away from those now :(  I also went back to starbucks because I had a coupon good for today only for any grande iced drink for $2!  I was good though and ordered an Iced Grande Vanilla Nonfat Latte!   I also had some tortilla chips and salsa for another snack.  I didn't get any cardio in today but I did get lunges, squats, plie's (sp?), crunches and pushups in...and my goal is to wake up at 5:30am to do 40minutes of cardio on my elliptical tomorrow morning!  Wish me luck! :)

Day 13- 145.4lbs

Well, after eating a hotdog and mac & cheese for lunch yesterday, followed by fajitas (3 of them!) last night for dinner, I'm not too shocked that my scale read a little higher this morning!  I'm now more determined than ever (now that I have about 10 lbs to lose to hit my first goal instead of 5lbs) to get moving on this weight loss!!  So now I will be logging in my food for all to see on here!  So far this morning I had my Advocare berry meal replacement shake for breakfast, a Starbucks grande coffee (black) with a handful of almonds for snack, and a peanut butter/jelly sandwich on high fiber whole wheat bread for lunch.  I'll check back in after dinner with my total calories for the day! 

Day 12

Okay, time to start off the diet & exercise again!  I got on the scale first thing this morning and I weighed in at 144.8 :(   So now how does it work for our contest of losing 5lbs first?  Do I have to lose the added weight and then lose 5lbs from that? Or can I lose the 5lbs from this new weight?  I'll have to ask Jackie...the entire point is to get down to our goal weight so I think I may have to go for my original goal, its going to take sooo much work! 

Day 11 (Saturday night 7/19)

So I just got back from 8 days of vacation in sunny HOT California, where I didn't get out and walk one single day (I had planned to walk every day for my exercise)  because it was over 100 degrees all day long!   That, and hey, I was on vacation and I had a hard time dieting and an easy time excusing myself from dieting!  Tomorrow I start back in on dieting and exercise because lets face it, in Washington it is a RARE day that it hits 100 degrees! 

Day 3

Dang, I got on the scale this morning and I gained exactly 1 pound :(   I'm going on vacation tomorrow morning, so I'm hoping to walk every day and I don't know if I'll have a scale available or a computer so wish me luck!

Well, I didn't lose anything this morning, BUT I didn't gain anything either, so hopefully I can see a decrease tomorrow morning!!

Day 2

Great, I woke up at 5:30 am, yes, O Dark Thirty, and ran on the elliptical for 20 minutes then did 40 crunches (sadly, that was my limit!) I drank my meal replacement shake and grabbed my morning coffee and got to work!  So at least I lost weight, lol, even if it is only .2lbs!!  I wonder how Jackie is doing...

Day 1

Damn scale!  It was supposed to give me a higher number this morning so that it would be easier to lose the weight!  So now I have to reach 136.4 before Jackie reaches her goal...this is going to take some effort!!

Okay, my friend Jackie and I are going to lose the weight, we are in competition for none other than Starbucks Gift Cards!   And nothing motivates me more than free coffee!  Well, okay, free shoes would be way more motivating but neither of us are making that kind of money!   So the first to lose 5lbs during each round wins the gc...starting tomorrow we'll be posting our weight and trying to keep one another motivated!! Feel free to step in with any tips or advice you feel would help!!  125lbs here I come!!!
