Weigh In Day
No weight loss this week, but I did lose an inch around my waist. So that's good, I guess. I just don't understand why I'm stuck in this rut. I'd be happy with just one pound a week, but I'm not even doing that. I obviously need to try something else, but I'm just not sure what to try. I think I'll start stepping up my workouts a bit. I could add a few more classes each week. I'm just not sure what to do food wise.

The case of the two missing pounds...
In my last post, I had a hard time explaining why I lost two pounds. Well, my husband reminded me the other day.
I haven't been drinking any pop. I ran out about two weeks ago, and I have just never gotten around to buying anymore. I've pretty much just been drinking water and Crystal Light. I'll see how I do at my wi on Thurs. and see if it is still working. I;m definitely going to keep it up though. I haven't missed pop at all. Who needs the high fructose corn syrup anyway?

Friday
I gained a half a pound. Oh well. I can't believe I already hit a plateau. I've just kicked up my workouts. I'm adding more cardio so hopefully that will help me get over the hump. I'm already eating well, so there isn't much more I could do, besides just being careful about what I eat. Hopefully this will help turn things around.

Wednesday
Tomorrow is weigh in day, but I couldn't help myself from taking a peek at it today. Well guess what, still no change. Have I already hit a plateau? It's so frustrating. I go to the gym 5 or 6 days a week, and eat pretty well, but I can't seem to lose any weight. I don't understand. At least I'm not gaining anything, but I would prefer to at least lose half a pound.
Uuugggghhhh. I'm so aggravated.

Friday
Well, I forgot to weigh in yesterday, so I did it today. And the good news is I didn't gain any weight, but, I didn't lose any either. Oh well.
I've been really good at working out, and I can definitely tell that my body is doing some changing. I think my problem is my eating plan. The problem is, well, I don't have one. I eat pretty healthy, but I guess I don't pay attention to how much I eat of it.
I guess I am going to have to put a plan in place.

My Abs Hurt
I just got back from a great workout. It was a dance class, but it ended up being a great ab workout. Now my abs are a little sore, but they feel good.
Tomorrow's a busy day so I won't have time for a workout but I think I deserve the day off after today. I am looking forward to my booty beat class on Friday, though. It should be fun.
I've been eating pretty well the last couple of days. I made a great zucchini, potato, and ham soup for dinner. It was so good there weren't any left overs. Oh well.
Tomorrow is weigh in day. I'm not expecting to lose a lot, I'm just hoping for at least 1 lb. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Feeling okay today
During my crazy weekend, I was able to at least get one workout in. Yeah!
I'm looking forward to getting a bunch in this week. I just got back from my Zumba class and I have already pre-registered for classes for the rest of the week. Hopefully, that will help me from making any plans that will prevent me from working out.
No news yet on the job front. I had an interview last week, but I haven't heard anything yet. Otherwise, I've been applying to a lot of possible jobs, but haven't had any response. I'm sure that will turn around soon though.
Does anyone know if there is a way to reply to comments posted on my blog. I can't seem to find a way.

Dreading this Weekend
This weekend is going to be a busy one with not a lot of sleep. Ugh, I already feel tired just thinking about it. A friend of ours came in last night, so my hubby and I will be meeting him for lunch. Then about 5, we will be heading over to Columbia College where he will be giving a speech about some of the work he has done in Iraq with the state department and also his work he's done in Afghanistan with the World Conservation Society. It should be interesting, but it is during my usual workout time. Hopefully, we'll get done early enough so I can hit a later class.
My brother also flies in tonight from Ft. Lauderdale, he'll be staying with my parents tonight and tomorrow, but I'll be getting up super early to head out to the 'burbs to go to a pumpkin farm with him, my sis and her two cute little girls (the most adorable nieces anyone can have, by the way). Why does everyone always have to do things so early? I want to go sleep.
Anyways, after that, I'll be headed back into the city for dinner with the in-laws. Then I'll be up early Saturday running errands and preparing for my brother and his partner to head to the city to spend the evening with us. I always have to buy a ton of food when he comes and he never offers to help pay for it. Oh well. He's been training for the marathon, which is sunday, so that may be part of the reason. And since the marathon is sunday, I'll be up early, following him around the city cheering him on.
All this running around means no time to work out, and most likely unhealthy eating. I'll just have to try and remind myself to eat as well as I can and try to squeeze in a few minutes of walking if I can.
Sorry for the rambling, but I guess it just shows how busy I'm going to be.

So, here I go
So, I've been having a hard time trying to lose a few pounds. About a year ago I was around 130, which isn't bad, but for a short, small boned person like me, it's noticeable. All I really wanted to lose was 5-10 lbs, not much. But, it's been so hard, instead of losing, I'm up to 139.5. I'm just glad I didn't see 140 on that scale, I never have, and I never plan too. Being that close was enough for me to really try again.
I recently joined Flirty Girl Fitness a few weeks ago. It's a ton of fun, so I'm hoping it works out. It stinks though that I had to pay for this monthly membership. I have access to a fitness center in my building, but it's just so boring there and can't bring myself to go. Oh well.
I've also recently lost my job, which totally sucks. I was let go, so that the owners could hire their friend instead. Whatever. Jerks. So, that means I'm sitting around a little more than I'm use to, which obviously doesn't help with the weight loss. I'm trying to keep myself moving though, which is important.
Well, enough sitting here in front of this computer. I have to get moving.
