I'm still here

It's been a while since I posted, but I'm still around.  You all know how the holidays can be sometimes, with all the running around.

I did okay during the holidays.  I splurged a little and enjoyed myself.  I may have gained a lb or 2, but I keep forgetting to weigh myself each morning.  My clothes still fit, so I guess that is a good sign.  Ha.

I've been kind of bummed though, because my weight isn't really going anywhere.  I just got to keep on trying though, and hopefully I can get rid of these last 15lbs.

I need to find something to motivate me.  I don't really have anything in particular right now that does.  Anybody have any good ideas?

Visual goal tracking works for me

Hey there.  Good to see you back to posting.  I know the holidays can be hectic.  Great job on making it through with no major gains!

I find that having visual goal tracking helps me.  I make a workout calendar.... sit down and plan my workouts out in advance and have some kind of a reward system (it usually varies by the month) to help me see when I am doing what I am supposed to and when I'm not. Sometimes I use those little shiny star stickers.  If I do my workout, my calendar gets a star for that day.  If I do my workout AND stay within my calorie range, my calendar gets TWO stars for that day.  It's not much, but I think we are kids at heart, and love seeing little rewards for 'doing the work'

Hope this helps.
