2nd post to my site
Wow...the last few days have been dreadful...with the exception of my very bright 21 month old daughter. Work is the main problem with my eating habits, I tend to eat when I am very stressed, in fact that is how I got to weight that I am currently, too much stress. Need to figure out a way around the overeating for anxiety...
So far this weekend hasn't been too bad, I have managed to stay within my 1400 calorie limit, the problem is that right now I am craving the delicious pepermint ice cream that is in the freezer, and that is why I am writing on my page, so hopefully I can discourage the craving that is building.
Well, I hope that the next time I log into the site, I will have lost a pound or two.
Till later...

My first time too
This is my first time blogging too. I feel like i am doing it all wrong. :) I thought maybe we could figure it out together?
After work is my big problem, at work if i start to think about snacking i just get up from my desk and take a walk out to the lobby and find someone to talk too.But at home after dinner i get bored and i go straight the fridge. My children are all teenagers and have very busy lives so i guess i have to entertain myself. Any ideas?

Suggestion to riseashcroft
Hi! Thanks for blogging onto my site...it nice to have someone to tell your food frustrations.
You gave me one suggestion to help me out, which I have been kind of doing getting up from my desk as soon as a snacking feeling comes on, I just need to get more into the habit. In regards to the snacking at home when you get home from work, try having food like celery or carrots around so that you can snack on that...trust me I truly understand what you are going through and how frusturating it is to stop snacking.
I have 21 month old daughter and I am 37 years old, between work (which I work too many hours) and my chaotic home life it can be very disheartening to keep with something that is good for us to do for ourselves. I try to remind my self that I need to take one step at a time, trade one "bad" habit for a good one, with realistic expectations.
Hope that some of this helps you out. You might also try going to CalorieKing.com it's website that works with you, I downloaded the diet diary to my PDA and have been doing better at logging my food intake.
Till next time...

Cravings
I hope that you were able to make it through the peppermint ice cream craving. I know those can be difficult. Way to go on staying within your calorie range.

MANIC CRAVINGS
We are all going to have to deal with cravings at some stage! I guess we will all handle them differently.
Does peppermint sugar free chewing gum take the edge off craving pepper-mint ice cream craving?
I have such a sweet tooth so have stocked up on sugar free jelly and plan on having it ready in the fridge for when I need a sugar fix as such. I think for a pint of jelly there is only 10 calories hooray!
Good luck with the cravings! No doubt I will be soon be coming to you for tips!
