Springs time . . .
When will the weather figure it out and realize that it is supposed to be springtime??? Grrr! I think I have done something bad to my knee - it is REALLY hurting. I hate this - I started running b/c I hate excercise, but I think I had better really lay off the running and just go back to walking - get a knee brace and let it heal up. FRUSTRATING! Otherwise, diet seems to be going well. My friend, C. is now working at my same location, and I am THRILLED. She said she was going to keep an eye on me and keep me straight - although I do Awwiigghhtt on my own, it'll be nice to have a second pair of eyes that i have to watch out for!

Perfect
Ok, so not really, but that's the song I'm listening to right now - Sara Evans, Perfect. Don't really have a whole lot to comment on tonight, other than I'm feeling rather hungry. Probably has a lot to do with the fact that I chose to have a slice of chocolate cake at our meeting, and therefore, feel like I better not have anything else. I wonder how many times in 30 years I have been through this . . .eat something HEALTHY and SUBSTANTIAL! Guess I'll just have to wait for breakfast. My pill helps, but it's certainly not a cure all!

GYM, CPR, and Work equals Exhaustion
So this morning I decided I would be EXTRA good and hit the gym. Did 15 min more on the elliptical than I usually do - but you would have thought I added 2 hours! Also did 100 reps each of side crunches, lat pull down's, inner and outer thigh presses, and butterflies. THEN, when I got home, I still did my nightly jaunt with the mutt. So, if that wasn't enough, we got called out for a code - and I did CPR for 30 min! That is a TOTAL upper body workout! We were all dripping sweat by the time it was all said and done. So, I have well earned my chocolate dessert tonight - but you know what? I only ate 1/2 of it! I just wasn't enjoying it at all. Msh would have liked it - it was more dark chocolate than anything! I am so tired . . . I can barely keep my eyes open. Time to go recharge . . ..

I love Pancakes!!!
And, another day down. I did much better today - part of that was that I was so darn busy I didn't have time to think about even being hungry! I did good to swallow my pannini sandwich in about 5 min flat and get back to work! I did get to run tonight - dinner was something of a special treat - they were doing a "Pancake Dinner" at one of the local churches as a fund raiser, so I went to that. I was really good though - even though it was all you can eat (and believe me, I can EAT some pancakes!) I only had the one serving of them. THEN, I came home and ran, thinking that it would help me digest them during my meeting. Yay . . .tomorrow marks 1/2 way through another week! I won't be posting next week as I will be in Utah with my grandparents. I can't wait to see them!

Starting over again
So, this page is dedicated to weight loss. I've discovered that I hate my time at home - with just me and the mutt, it's really REALLY easy to get tempted to find something in the kitchen. I have just GOT to break that habit! If I could just get into bed early enough, that wouldn't even be a temptation! I did get my run in tonight - maybe I need to start going to bed at like 7p, and getting up at 5 - get a workout in. Something to think about! I did alright on food today - had oatmeal for breakfast, a Taco Bell salad for lunch, and super thin cut steak for dinner. Oh, and somewhere in there I had a cinnamon muffin. I think I'm going to have one of my WW Ice Cream Cones (Perfect for those of us that are lactose intolerant, right?) before I crash. For some reason, I feel like I could just collapse where I'm sitting! Wore plumb out!
