self defense class
Today I took a self-defense class at the YMCA. I didn't realize what a work out I was getting until after I left the class (my arms were burning). Although there wasn't a real cardio aspect, participants are pushing, pulling, and physically breaking away from each other. I got a great arm workout, and I learned some basic escape techniques I can use if someone is grabbing me in an unwanted way. I can't wait to go back next week.
