Where is it??
I am still waiting on my Turbo Jam. It was supposed to be here by Tuesday (5-7 business days after ordering) and it hasn't shown up yet. Nor have I received the confirmation that it was even shipped. So I sent an email to their customer service. Let's see what they say. Pissing me off! Which WONT lead to any extra eating! (How is that for a change in me?) LOL!
My water intake has been good and I am working on alternating high / low point days. So I will see if that makes a difference and makes my body let go of this weight that it seems to become so attached to.

Sunday
I rock! Why? Cuz I spent almost 2 hours at the gym! I have never spent that much time there.
Treadmill (35 min)
Elliptical (25 min)
Treadmill (again) (35 min)
weights - Just arms as they didnt really get a good workout
I also drank almost 3 bottles of water (25 oz each). I had to pee between each activity!
Got my coffee afterwards, as I do after each workout.

Infomercials
Has anyone ever tried the Turbo Jam dvd's? Just saw infomercial on it and it really looks like fun. I am all for dancing where noone can see me doing it. What fun my daughter and I would have with it.
On another note, my daughter was asked to be on an All Star Cheerleading team - she is so excited. I laugh cuz she does not take after me - I have no coordination!

My Eating Habits
Ok, so here are 3 of my eating issues.
1) I eat when I am bored and have nothing to do. Usually only when I am around the house.
2) I am a quantity eater. For example, if I am at a restaurant I tend to choose what I want to eat based on larger quantities of food.
3) I am a fast eater.
I am working on overcoming these 3 things. I am having a harder time with #1, but for #2 I am really paying attention to choosing healthier foods. For #3 I am really focusing and paying attention to slowing down. To put my fork down between bites. And to take SMALLER bites!!!
One day...

All is Good & New Picture
My sons Bar Mitzvah was amazing. He did an amazing job - he lead the entire 2 hour service (in the evening, that is why it was so short) and did an incredible job - I am so proud of him.
The party was so much fun! Our club did an amazing job - we had all of the club managers working that evening, 4 bartenders, DJ, MC, 5 dancers, 2 party planners and all the stafff - it helps that my husband is president of our club - I am sure that is all the managers were on duty at the party that night!
Seriously, there was not a thing that went wrong. The only thing that I would have changed would have been to video tape the party. We taped the service but I feel that I missed alot at the party. Oh well. Ok, so I went up on a chair, lifted up by my husband, brother in law and not sure who else. No hernias happened. I didnt fall off the chair - but darn I hated that!!!
I got the pictures back - going to see if there is a good picture to put up. I loved my dress - I wish that I could wear it every day!!
My daughter and I are in Chicago for my great aunts 95th birthday. Can I tell you that I have only been home (Chicago) a handful of times since I moved East 19 years ago? It is FREEZING here! My daughter has only been here once in the winter - 5 years ago! She is so excited about the snow. Was outside playing in it for a few hours this morning. I think they are expecting a snow storm on Sunday - that would be cool to get stuck here. I miss my family and I miss living here. I do get home pretty often (about 6 times a year) but I still feel like I miss so much.
Well, I am tired. Off to bed.

Unusual Thanksgiving
And somewhat healthy.
We are not having turkey.
We are not have stuffing (ok, don't like stuffing).
We are not having sweet potatoes.
We are not having soup.
We are having salad.
We are having cranberry stuff (making homemade, so I can control what goes into that).
We are having FONDUE!! How 60's / 70's of us! My kids are totally into it. When we got married, I think we received 6 (at least) fondue pots - apprently that was the thing to give back in the early 90's. Who knew that one day we would have a fondue Thanksgiving dinner.
We will not be using oil of any kind, but either a low sodium beef broth (I will drink lots and lots of water) or a wine broth. Havent decided yet. Actually I am trying to find a good red wine broth recipe to use. If anyone has one, would greatly appreciated you lending it to me.
So that is for my healthy dinner.
DId I not mention that we will be having a cheese fondue appetizer (ok, not so healthy - but in moderation) and for dessert a chocolate and white chocolate fondue with fruit. So I think we will be able to use 4 of the fondue pots. I have used them occasionally through out the years, but never with my kids. THey are so excited.
It will only be the 4 of us this year. We usually go away to someplace warm, but this year I am highly stressed with the Bar Mitzvah coming up.
Speaking of, I found a lovely dress. A bit too dressy for this event but I am the hostess and I decided that I can wear what I want! Here is the dress, but in black.
http://www.daymor.com/3451_2_b.htm
I need to have it shortened a bit, so that it is ankle length and taken in a bit in the bust (imagine that one!).
So, now since this is off the shoulder, and my golfers tan is gone, I decided to go to a tanning salon (please no comments on how this is bad for me, I know. It is not as bad as being in the actual sun, but I do realize that this is not great) to get a little color on me.
I didnt lose the 10 pounds that I was hoping to lose, but this dress is very slimming. It hides the entire tummy area and does not make me look wide from any angle. I think that I will wear it every day!!! Haha
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Eat healthy and in moderation! It is not worth gorging ourselves - we all have come so far.

Weight & Dresses
My sons Bar Mitzvah. 5 weeks away. Can I lose 20 pounds in 5 weeks? Is that possible? I have sat on my a$^ for so long and now I have to lose this weight! AGH!
Yes, I know it is not possible, and if it was, not healthy! So I dont need to hear it. But wouldnt it be great if I could do it? Any suggestions?
I also need to find a dress to wear. I have been to almost all major dept stores. I still have to go to Neimans and Saks. I am going back to Nordstroms (different location that I went to already) and look there - they have different dresses.
Do you think they have dresses that make you look 10 pounds and 2 inches less than what we are - you know, like the bathing suits? That would be awesome. I have tried Spanxs but they just roll down my stomach. The skirt one does not let me walk - and they make me sweat! Maybe I should wear them all the time! LOL!!!
Ok, any suggestions on losing the 20 pounds in like a day and on dresses - I am all ears!!!

Where am I?
I know I have to post sometime soon. It has been crazy over here! DD was really sick with pneumonia (remember my son had it back in August). Well with her it took the doctors 8 days of 105 degree fevers and a cough to finally diagnose her with some type of pneumonia. My son had viral pneumonia, and she had mycoplasm (sp???) pneumonia which I understand it to be slow to develop. She is still coughing and you can still hear the noise in her lungs.
Still hanging out on the football field with my son. Football games on weekend as well as DD softball games.
Will post more soon.

Me - 1; Ice Cream - 0
Ha! I began to think about the ice cream bars (new ones that are 30% less in fat/calories and yummy flavors - I bought them as treats for the kids. So, I began to think about them - but I won! In the past I would have just gone ahead and eaten them - but not this time!
I made another cup of decaf tea and am drinking another water bottle instead!
yeah for ME!

Ouch!
I fell on Saturday and hurt my foot - OUCH! I was walking down the 2 steps from my house into my garage and I somehow slipped and fell down the steps and landed parallel to the steps wedged between shelves and refrigerator. My right foot somehow got messed up in it all. I am sure it had nothing to do with the Croc's tongs that I was wearing.
My kids didnt know what to do. So my son called my husband and said he needed to come home. He was not happy at all about being pulled off the golf course when he was playing well. He actually didnt realize that I truly fell and got hurt. He got over it. My daughter ran and got a whole bunch of ice packs and started putting them all over me. Too funny.
I dont deal well with pain so once I managed to get up and got into the bathroom and threw up - that is how my body deals with pain (sorry about being gross).
I am limping around. I went to the gym yesterday and ran on the treadmill for 15 minutes and speed walked for 35 minutes. BAD MOVE!!! Cuz now I am really hurting so much more!
I really need to get to a podiatrist and have it x-rayed! But I am convinced that they will tell me it is nothing. But our foot dr is a friend of ours from the club and if he finds out that I did this he will be questioning me as to why I didnt come in to see him. But then again, my deductable & out of pocket is completely met for this year, so it wont cost me anything to even go to the ER. Hmmm.... I should do something, I guess.
On a positive note - I am pounding water! I am running for potty breaks during football practice but I do feel so much better. It is amazing how much better I feel when I am drinking lots of H20!
