October is over!!!
October was a terrible month, weight loss wise. Other than that, it was pretty much party time! I had two vacations to two of the most vibrant cities in the US.
My daughter turned 18 this month, so to celebrate, we went to New York City. What a fantastic city! The highlight of the trip was the Broadway show "Wicked." It was great "girl" time. Lots of food and fun! I gained 1 1/2 lbs. But then I lost 2 1/2 lbs. the next week.
Then off to Las Vegas! My husband had a convention, so I went along for a few days. Again food and fun! I performed with "Big Elvis" by shaking my maracas and dancing to "Viva Las Vegas." I stayed the same weight during that week, so I guess that was good.
So for October, my net loss was about 4 1/2 lbs. Now I have to get serious! The holidays are coming up, but we don't have any big plans, so maybe I'll get through these next two months with great success. I just have to get my head back in the right place. I was so good at the beginning. Now I'm in that mode of "this little bit won't hurt." Then all those little bits start to add up. I also need to WRITE IT ALL DOWN! That is really what has worked for me.
I bought a new Firm DVD, Lower Body Sculpt. Needless to say, my workouts have taken a back seat this month. The Firm workouts work really well for me. My butt has really tightened up these past couple of months. I just need to get back in the habit of getting up and doing them. It's funny, but I'm more consistent during the week than on the weekend. During the week, I get up at 5:00 and get the workout done. On the weekends, I like to sleep in a bit, and then I get up and think, "I'll workout later." Then it never gets done. Not tomorrow! I will get up and get it done!
When I have lost 20 lbs. (I have 4 to go), I'll post before and after pictures. I'm curious to see the difference. My face always tends to look fat. Even when I'm fairly thin, I have that little bit of double chin. So when I'm overweight, it really hangs down there!
Here's to a great November! I wish everyone the best of luck staying the course!
