Before After

Good day.

Yesterday was a wonderful day.  You know those days when you just feel like you ate well, you worked out.....well, for me those days don't happen very often!  Yesterday morning first thing I took the dog for a four-mile walk.  I had cereal for breakfast, leftover chicken casserole for lunch with salad, and beans and rice for dinner.  Those Mexican beans and rice were delish.  Kidney beans, cumin, salsa, onions, garlic, chili powder over brown rice.  Topped with some cheddar and a little sour cream.  Yumm-o.  Delish!

I was so exhausted last night, though.  I went to bed at 8:30pm!  Strange.

Took the pup to the vet this morning.  We just moved here recently and this was our first time at this vet.  I was pleasantly surprised.  They took good care of my boy!  I got him on some heartworm and flea prevention.  He needs it here in Texas!!!!

Other than that, no big plans today.  It's looking overcast out.  I think I'll head out for a walk now!

Thanks for the advice, guys, about the salt.  Eating out has always been a big problem for me.  It turns out that we need to pinch pennies cuz we're closing on a house in 2 1/2 months!  So we plan to eat at home til the day of closing.  We'll see if that happens.  Never even gone a week without eating out!!!

Sometimes it helps to cook in advance, so all you have to do is heat up dinner. I usually only cook once or twice per week, and make things that can be put together quickly. Like shredded chicken that can be made into enchiladas one night, pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches the next, chicken noodle soup another night, etc. You can do this!
