Before After

Run Lola, Run...

Do you remember that movie.  Lola did some running, and I need to do some running too!

My new shoes were in a plain brown cardboard box by the side door when I came home from work yesterday.  Like a silent omen, quietly mocking me for not going running yesterday morning.  My justification?  The FamousFootwear website said they weren't being delivered until September 4... and I was committed to waiting for them to arrive.

So, after a day of (food) debauchery, with nary a point being counted (I would have needed a calculator) my shoes arrived, a day early, much to my chagrin because I knew the sunrise would bring a swollen belly and a food hangover.  And so, they sit and wait for what I'm not sure, only that they are there for the moment I am ready to take the very first step toward a healthier me -body, mind, soul...

Lace 'em up, girl!

That's all it takes.  Just lace 'em up.  You will love the feeling.  You know it.  It's just reminding yourself that BEFORE you go.  When you do go run, do me a favor.  Run a mile or so for me, please.  I miss it so badly.

Get up and Run!!!

You can do it!  Don't put it off anymore!  You'll feel so great after your done.  You can do it!

Gotta try the new shoes!

I don't know about you, but putting my foot in a new shoe is always motivation to get out and experience the fresh springiness/comfort that new shoes bring for me!  So...like the others said...if only for a short distance, JUST DO IT!

Those are my shoes!

LOL Aesics gel, right? Love them! Sadly, they only have 71 miles on them. I hear ya on the whole dread thing!! Why is that? But the minute you get them on and are out the door, its all good!

Oh, yea, DH was getting home made lunches from me in the beginning, but I quickly got tired of that! He is on his own now! At least your ex was in the basement!! Mine sits at the freakin' kitchen counter!!! See the problem? Ugh!!

Love those shoes

They're really cute!  Be sure to let us know how they feel when you get 'em on and get going! You can do it!!!!!  -DD
