Before After

No More Scales For A While

I have been working my butt off going to the gym 5 times a week, I take a basic training (cardio/weight) class 3 times a week, kickboxing once a week and resistaball training once a week and then I am taking yoga/pilates every day and I have only lost inches, as a matter of fact I have gained weight.  This is very discouraging, so one of the trainers at the gym told me to not weigh myself for a month and to measure myself to note any changes in my measurements.  I will report back as soon as I can

Week 1 Weigh In

I lost 5.5 lbs in my first week, I do understand most of it might be water, but I will take it where I can get it.  Five pounds is five pounds.  I also tried a new work out video today.  The Firm Cardio Overdrive, it was kind of challenging, but I really loved the work out.  It will get better over time.

I almost passed out......

This morning when I was preparing to do my morning 2 mile walk/run my husband asked if he could go along.  I almost passed out.  I have been trying to get him to work out with me for the last five years and he has come up with every excuse in the book as to why he cannot go.  I said ok and he went and he did not complain the whole time.  I was so excited but I could not let him see it.  When we were finished, I went to do some ab work and he promptly went back to bed.

I Didn't Gain It In a Day.......

so I shouldn't expect to lose it in a day.  I am finally ready to take ownership of the fat that has taken up residency in my body.  I have been reading about different types of weight loss programs, but I have found that for me I have to eat pretty much every 2-3 hours.  I am currently enrolled in Weight Watchers online only because it is so much easier than trying to find a meeting when I am out of town.  Being at home in the summer allows me the flexibility to be able to eat whenever I need to, so I will to do some adjusting to make it work.  I have also at the beginnings of become a vegetarian.  I am taking little, bitty steps, I have been experimenting with tofu and found that I really like the taste and texture of it.  I look forward to sharing and hearing from all of you.  til then TTFN
